Skinning Adv Guild Jobs

I've done about 200 jobs for the adventurer's guild and I have NEVER gotten a skinning job. When somebody told me a few weeks back that they had gotten a skinning job I thought they were making it up--I had never heard of them. I've got a paladin and a wizard friend who both get them. Is this some class-specific thing? I get foraging jobs all the time.

I'd need to see a post of your Bounty results before I believe you've had 200 jobs before you got a single skinning one, to be honest.

Has to do with your skills I'm pretty sure... so if you stand no chance of skinning (pretty much no first aid or survival) you won't get them.

If I recall correctly this wasn't part of the original release of the bounty system, that they made the change later, so unless you meant recently, that's likely why those no first aid or survival sorcs had skinning tasks.

My wizard never gets skinning tasks and I know for a fact that it relates to skill. there was something on the officials on it but im not searching through that nightmare site.

I really wish you could choose which task you get rather than trading every 15 minutes hoping to get the one you want.

Or at least exclude the ones you don't want. IE escort and gem tasks.

Certain combinations of levels and location can exclude you from skinning tasks.

For a while in the Landing I got assigned both stone mastiffs and massive troll kings for skinning.

Then as I levelled it went to massive troll kings only.

And now at 69th level in the Landing I no longer get skinning tasks, something I'm certainly not complaining on.

Or at least exclude the ones you don't want. IE escort and gem tasks.

While I would really like to avoid having to just constanly drop gem and escorts myself, it would be too easy to create a bounty only character... be it using sancts to forage/search, or use another character to run your escorts.

One thing I would really love would be group bounties of some sort, so you and your friends aren't all sent to different hunting grounds.

You have succeeded at the Procure Gems task 8 times.
You have succeeded at the Protect Traveller task 21 times and failed 2 times.
You have succeeded at the Procure Herbs task 35 times.
You have succeeded at the Kill Dangerous Creature task 34 times.
You have succeeded at the Rescue Child task 34 times and failed 3 times.

my ranger who's 94 has never received a skinning job as well. I'm quite sure its based on location and level.

Stun's got 0 FA and 0 Survival. Skinning jobs? None.

You CAN NOT get skinning tasks with out First Aid or Survival.

Even 1 ranks of either will open it up.

So if you pick up 10 ranks of FA for herb times, you will get them, and you will suck hardcore.

My capped cleric gets to skin war griffins all the time, which sucks, because he only trained in FA enough to bandage all bleeders, not for skinning, so he isn't really good at it.

if you're in the landing, I made a script that gets jobs for you. It's just a time saver. It'll run you all over town and find the guard. Also, it auto drops gem-jobs and any escorts to the elven nations. posted in the scripts section

Granted, something happened to the txt file when i uploaded it and it added characters to the file... Need to fix that.

you already made one? dangit it took me 3 weeks to collect all those rhetger replies and I coulda just stolen yours! do you have yours posted someplace? I'm happy with mine but I'd like to see if you've done something different.

You have succeeded at the Protect Traveller task 2 times.
You have succeeded at the Procure Herbs task 125 times.
You have succeeded at the Kill Dangerous Creature task 266 times.

Has to do with if you train in first aid and survival. I have 0 training in both and not a single skin task.

I singled in survival.....3 days later I got a skinning job. Level 39 and it's my first.

I have a bit of survival ranks for foraging and 0 first aid and haven't gotten a single skin task, I'm pretty sure it's first aid weighted

Skinning tasks depend on skinning skills. (First Aid and/or Survival)

You have succeeded at the Kill Creatures task 73 times.
You have succeeded at the Retrieve Heirloom task 43 times.
You have succeeded at the Procure Skins task 71 times.
You have succeeded at the Procure Gems task 20 times.
You have succeeded at the Procure Herbs task 89 times.
You have succeeded at the Kill Dangerous Creature task 55 times.
You have succeeded at the Rescue Child task 45 times.

I have no FA, and 58 survival ranks.

Also note, since I've always been on Teras, I've never done a Traveller task.

PS: It wouldn't be fair if we could pick our tasks. On Teras, I can complete almost any foraging task in less than 1 minute, via 1 second forage attempts, limited travel, and a knowledge of fauna growth.
