I may just get one now... LOL 499 is still a bit steep though.

I have one... and so far I'm under impressed. I play mostly PS2 games on it.. since I think there are about what... 2 PS3 games even out so far. :P
I'm still waiting for a PS3 game to actually USE the innovation of HD in any of their new games.
Very underimpressed indeed.
Do you not have an HDMI cable?

Moto Storm looks pretty good.

I played MotorStorm in a Best Buy a few months ago.
It was just like every other racing game I've played, only prettier.
Was bored within 3 minutes.

Don't confuse the man. The only cables he owns are the ones to jump start his heart in the morning. I'm surprised he knows how to power on a computer that's not a Commodore 64.

I had a C64.
Well my family did anyway.
It died.
:(
It died.
Was that before or after you tried installing WoW on it...

Price dropping is always good, but anyway Xbox360 looks more preferable for me

I was actually close to buying one off Amazon the other day, as they're offering a free wireless controller, a blu-ray remote, and six free blu-ray movies.
Then I looked at the list of PS3 games and couldn't find a single one I'd want to play, let alone pay $60 for.

I was at Bestbuy the other day and overheard some old women berating some young kid trying to show her the cables for her new TV. She kept asking him why this one was 6.99 and this one was 129.99. I thought it was kind of funny to listen to him try and upsell her on HDMI.
Luckily I was patient enough to wait for an HDMI-switching receiver to hit the market =).
I never bother using a receiver. My TV has 2 HDMI inputs which is enough for me (1 for my PS3 and 1 for my HD DVR) if I ever find that I really need more I'd look into it. For $129.99 it sounds like he was trying to upsell her to some crazy monster HDMI cables though.

An easier way to get a free wireless controller is to go to Wal-Mart, buy a PS3, take the controller out, then go back in and exchange it for a new system. Chances are they won't even open the box to look inside it. You could put a handful of rocks in there and keep the old PS3 even.
I accidentally got me a free controller that way (it really was an accident, I forgot to put the controller back in the box before I exchanged it, but I wasn't gonna go back later and be like HEY GUYS I FORGOT TO PUT THIS BACK, HERE!)

Heh. When my gf's son's 360 died I went to Wal-Mart and bought a new one. Switched out the units and returned the dead one. This was a few months before Microsoft announced the whole 3 year warranty thing. And they definitely opened the box to make sure everything was there. Some lame game (Burnout?) was included and it took them some time to locate it. Hassled me about it.
Anyway, sure beat waiting for it to be repaired, but I left his Perfect Dark Zero game in the console when I returned it. Oops? :/
