So this isn't exactly a complaint, but have there been many merchants in prime today? I think I've heard of two since opening.

none that i've seen. very slow start for this festival. anyone know if plat is seeing a lot of merchant activity?

Plat did not get any merchants until afternoon. For the BIG plat day it had I think 6-7 merchants total. And a box game.

Most of the merchants did not come in until 10PM of later. A few earlier.

Was a very slow start and it seems like the majority were bunched in the end.

i would wait until much later in the day.It's sunday. church, family lunches, sleeping off saturday night drinking and stuff.

starting to get the impression they're phoning this one in. alae built the grounds, alae+premium contest made a bunch of the shops, several other shops are reused, merchants are nowhere to be seen, etc.

Platinum was mainly Serpantis and Snaketone until later afternoon, early evening.

Khaladon worked about 9-10 hours yesterday. Towards the end(about 10pm ET) we saw a few more merchants, all bunched together.

So that's um.. roughly 10-15 spots on 2 lists, and a Iasha raffle win for that bunch..

Technically, it would be protection against those who AREN'T scripting. The format has always been "So and so just opened", as you saw when he really opened the list. When he pretended it was "Iasha opened the list". So basically he screwed those who weren't relying on a script, and either typed it in manually or used macros.

I got picked at Heart Of The Mountain for an enchant on my player forged weapon.

Its a perfect eonake maine-gauche with switchable fire and vibe flares.. 4x, and obviously sancted in hands of Pali or Cleric (I'm a Pali)

I was picked DEAD last.. so I had LOTS of anticipation to deal with.

I RPed the living CRAP out of the moment.. it was great. He tells me 100k cost.. to bump from 4x to 5x

I'm like YEAH!! and RP it even harder.

I finally got picked for something.. Ive been to 4 events, 2 of them pay events, and I havnt been picked for a single fucking thing once in that entire time.. so I was SERIOUSLY hyped.

And then he tells me he can't work on it because of the switchable flares. In order to enchant it, he needs to rip out one of the flares.

I wasn't about to let him rip out the flares... I can't, the weapon is too nice, and switchable flares are not exactly common (not until recently at least)

Khal likes to do that sometimes. Those who have been around long enough are used to it. Though, when it first happened to me, I was pretty mad.

I don't use a script to join lists. I just have the string a merchant uses highlighted and then I use macros.

I don't expect it to change. Just something you have to get used to/ be ready for.

I am unfamiliar with merchants in general as I have never had good luck when I goto them.

What exactly is a shifting list?

It changes the noun from "list" to "register" or "paper" or something else, all random.

So, if it's a list, and I sign up, it automatically shifts to a new noun, like register. It really fucks you up if you try and <join list> right after someone else does.

Sounds like scripting would still be very very easy. My only problem would be knowing when the merchant is to be there. Because there is no way in hell Im going to sit on my ass waiting for someone to show up at random.
