It's pricey for not having an enchanter's mark(so no magical creatures). The cost to enchant via PP was high too.

Claidhs can be aimed as well as mauls. They are both large weapons. They are better than claidhs against plate, have that nice rank 4 crush kill on heads (which claidhs also have). No real difference beyond that.

mauls swing a little bit quicker, that's a nice advantage for some races
