So, I finally decided what to get.
So here it is, on my lower back.
Keep forgetting Firefox won't let you upload.
Here it REALLY is.

PS the picture isn't that great, but the camera's not all that awesome, so...

How long did that take?

Actually not all that long, because I'm 1. a trooper (according to the tattoo artist) and 2. He was incredibly good, and fast, and 3. My skin soaks up ink like crazy so they don't have to do a ton of digging to get the color in.
Cost me $450.00 plus the tip I gave him, which was ample.
Possibly the worst pain I've ever been in in my life, so far. Well worth it though. THe worst part was having to sit backwards in the chair on my legs... they kept going numb, but I didn't want to lay down, because there's a possibility of the artist not being able to do as good of a job.
Uh, probably took... two hours?

It stings a little.
Okay, it stings a lot. But it's hot so... what's a few open nerve endings...
PS, it matches the one that I have on my upper back. I don't have pictures of the full effect though.

You can see more color in this picture. It's all slimy with lotion, though.
yah Maim. It definately rocks. It was such a good idea, I decided to get one yesterday also.
Feast upon my virile manliness.

Uhm, by the way, if they ever tell you to use lubriderm on a fresh tattoo... tell them to go fuck themselves.
I washed it tonight, put the junk on it, and it stung so bad I washed it off, and went and bought 40 dollars worth of neosporin and bacitracin wipes.
Neosporin does a good job of keeping it moist, killing bacteria... Only use the lotion if you're afraid of grease-stains on your clothes...
Then again I have very sensitive skin. Good god that stinging was worse than the tattoo itself. Neosporin is very soothing.
PS, just original neosporin, not the 'pain reliever' stuff, that shit will sting. :) In case you have trouble with that, Backlash.

Both are very nice. I usually don't like lower back tattoos, but that one's good.

Probably cause it isn't one of those dumb girlie tattoos.
I hate those.
Thank you :)

oh, and just for reference, yeah. the tattoo is real. It just looks fake because I take ink very well...
I have witnesses!

When I got my first tattoo they sold me this stuff called "Tattoo Goo" it worked pretty good.
The last one I got I just used vitamin D oinment and it healed up nicely.
I'm sure neosporin with pain relief would work well too. I used that one when my toe went fubar.
Congrats on the ink...once again I'm jealous!

Kym, babe, don't be jealous. You have that gorgeous baby of yours. I'd love one of them. :(

Looks great, Beth! As far as the healing goes, go buy yourself a bottle of vitamin E caplets, poke them open with a pin, and smear the stuff all over the tat. It helps a lot - I used it on both of mine.
Although I'm a giant pansy about pain (I tear up when getting my brows waxed) the pain of getting a tattoo actually feels kind of yummy.

I'll be using cocoa butter. It doesn't absorb as fast and doesn't grease up clothes.
First couple of days, neosporin rox. I"m healing up already.

Be careful of what you use on your tat. My best friend got her tattoo (same place as your new one) the same day as I got my first one ('99) and she used Almond oil to keep it moist and help with healing. Two years ago her's was all faded out and you could hardly see the colors anymore (and I know for a fact it isn't from sunbathing). Make sure what you use doesn't mess with your ink.
Also, my monitor at home sucks and the pics come out so dark I could hardly see the detail in it yesterday. It's bootiful!!!
very hot tat Beth.. damn, I can't believe anyone can sit through all that. The pain of a naval piercing reached to the very center of my being, literally. I need to just buckle down and get a tat.
I like yours also Backlash... for not having wimpy forearms. Hot.

Tattoos will fade, no matter what. Oddly, I've had one for 6 years, and it still looks brand-new. I take ink very well. Some people do not.
Once it's not an 'open wound' and I don't have to worry about infection, I will just be using regular lotion and sunscreen. I keep sunscreen on all my tattoos, all the time. I paid to have 'em put there, and I wanna keep 'em there!
Also, Backlash is hot.

alright, I can't wait for this f-ing thing to heal. It's itching... I have to put junk on it every few hours or it gets tight and uncomfortable...
ungh. Next time I do a tattoo like this, I do it in the summer, when I can wear clothes that don't touch it, and not look like a retard.

Mine haven't faded either, but I use sunscreen on them religiously.
My best friend even gave me a hard time because I went with her to her company picnic and remembered to take sunscreen for my tats (they are so small I just use lip balm) but forgot to buy/bring some for my daughter. :(

Bwahahaha!
I would give her some vanilla pudding just to see how messy she can get. Maybe chocolate would be better... or raspberry jello...
Good thing I'm not a parent!
Also, that computer in the background is the same case I have my computer stuffed in. Good choice! (Mine was free... I just replaced all the guts, heh.)

More importantly...good thing you're not Jordyn's babysitter!!! (j/k :P)
She LOVES vanilla custard. She doesn't really feed herself just yet, that's just a pic I took of her after she took the spoon away from me.

let me borrow your kid for like... two days, and I'll probably change my mind. First poopy diaper and I'm outta there.

I was the same way and people always told me that it's not so bad when it's your own kid. I didn't believe them then, but now, I can tell you it's so true.
Breeding is good :socool: You'll never love anyone more than you love your own child.
