Looking out my kitchen window and seeing this pisses me off.

We're supposed to get a ton today. If I had batteries I'd go out there and show you.

It was barely snowing when I went to work, and now we've got tons. it sucks. Second time it's snowedthis year. The flakes are big, too. Check this one out, I took this on my way home from work. I hope you're jealous. :D :D

Ick. I hate snow. It is cold, and wet, and just generally miserable. The only saving grace it has is that it can be very pretty to look at from the warmth of the ski lodge. ;)

HarmNone hates snow, too

I almost killed myself on the ride home from work, geo metros are not cut out for minnesota, I'm afraid to drive and I've lived here all my life.

I miss my truck.

HarmNone
11-23-2003, 10:31 AM
Oh, dear. I guess a little Geo would really be a problem there! Better a big ol' SUV or, as you said, a truck. :)

Please, be careful, Maimara. I know you will be, but I sure do not blame you for being afraid to drive.

HarmNone feels for you

I love snow. I take my dog out and we go fool around in it. Golden retrievers get really nutty when they get wet. She'll run around grabbing bites of snow and run away as if you'll take it from her. it's really cute.

Snow is cool... we rarely get it down here. Well, i get it where i'm at school now than at home. Pretty pimp to turn all the lights off at night and burn one with the shutters up so you can see it all serene and calm out.'

I know I'm waiting for the snow to start here, too :( Then again I do have a 4x4 so I won't have too many problems making my drive to work.

I'm moving to Minnesota, damn it!

I miss snow ssooo much. We don't get much here in South Florida.

Luckily, we'll be heading back to good old Maryland soon and snow.

I wish I was 16 again.

Women are allowed to drive in the snow in Minnesota? Women are allowed to drive at all? Yikes.

Driving in the snow is the scariest thing. Ever.

This past winter was the first time I had ever driven in the snow... it's so nerve-wracking. The tires on my Infiniti are getting really bald (yes, I asked my parents for TIRES for Christmas) and the car itself is really light... I went sliding all over the place on the way home from school a few times, even though I was only going like 10 mph.

All I can say is, thank god for antilock brakes.

I was under this same impression til i lived out east for a couple years. Now i love MN and will not move from here willingly ever again. Its snowing something fierce here too and its great (mainly cause i dont have to go anywhere but still)

I saw snow once when I was 17, I wasn't impressed. Happily typing away in the a/c of florida, wearing shorts.

FLorida=suck.

I don't know why I ever thought it would be a good idea to move here.

soon i'll be back in the comfortable cold north, again.

I can't stand the heat. And wherever I live, there has to be snow for Christmas and Winter. It's like sacrilige (sp?) to not have a white christmas. Any guy I marry better be ready to live somewhere with lots of snow.

If the guy I end up marrying intends on staying in an area where it snows during the winter, he better A) Get me a home with a fireplace, B) Be prepared to have INSANE heating bills, and C) Shovel the driveway, sidewalks, scrape off my car, and warm it up for me before I get to it.

Spoiled? Me? Nah... :bounce:

I'm the opposite. Like I HATE the heat, I die in it. I can't take it at all. I absolutely love cold weather. You curl up in some big cuddly sweatshirts and blankets, read a book by the window watching the snow fall... snuggle up with a boyfriend. What could be better? In the summer I don't want anyone near me.. too hot.

I am exactly like you. I can't stand the heat, it's killing me, litteraly. I am always hot, always too hot, when i was alone, i was sleeping (during winter) with just a small blanket, otherwise i would wake up all lazy and tired.

Some people got very warm blood...

If you expect me to shovel snow, you are sorely mistaken. I remember watching my mom shovel snow in her fur coat from our living room window when I was five... my dad and brother had gone away on a boyscout trip and it snowed about a foot, and she was afraid we would be snowed in.

I've shoveled snow before. Usually never but once my poor mom was outside shoveling all by herself so I went out and helped her for two hours.

Remote control car starter.... it did wonders. I fucking hate the snow with a passion. I was in five different wrecks due to snow. I'm so glad I don't live anywhere near it anymore.

LMAO YAY I WILL LIVE UNDER MAIMARA'S BED AND BE HER GIMP!!!

Hee, I'm with Leloo, man..Looking at palm trees and being on the beach saying "Merry Christmas" is..unnatural. It goes against everything I've ever known...but then I'm like Michiko that I like the cold but I want to be warm indoors. And I'm shoveling no damn snow nor will I be clearing off my car...I got married for a reason, damnit..heh...and should I get divorced? I have a son. ;)

Yeah, that's alll well and good but if you expect a guy to have all those things done you better

a) greet at door with cold drink
b) have dinner ready
c) not have a 'headache'
d) not spend all day on the couch eating bonbons and watching opera

What kind of wackjob wants a cold drink when they just came in from shoveling a bunch of snow in 32 degree (or less) weather?!

Man whoever wants snow come here. It's been snowing on and off like crazy. We have a foot or 2 on the ground already.

As far as driving in the snow? Bah done it all my life, it's no big deal now. Just go slow and leave lots and lots of room to stop. You can come live under my bed Weedie I bet we have more snow than Maimara. :spin:

Heh.. what a bunch of whiners.. you want TUFF??

Try riding a GSXR-750RR in a snow storm :)

I was following trucks and riding in their tire tracks. Now THAT was an interresting ride I tell ya.

Maimara... you can always move down here with me.. I got a spare bedroom, and I promise my Hamster and Cat will be happy for another source of attention

I've lived in both worlds...Florida and Vermont. Honestly, the cold doesn't bother me much at all. I like my room like fucking meat locker cold, just gotta have someone to warm up with. Snow's cool with me, but me and ice don't mix, never have never will. I live in Florida now and wouldn't trade it for the world. Well, maybe ONE snowing for the youngest one, so he can know what snow is, don't know if he'll remember this young.

Love you Jolena!

I'm happy with my inbetween Delaware weather. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. No extremes (Except the blizzard early this year). We get snow, but not a lot normally. Snow=Not good for Delaware drivers!
