Looking to make a very good lockpicker, who can also hunt solo pretty well...those are the two things I want to accomplish, and I'm not interested in raged combat or brawling(as I'm already something other than Voln). I like sword and board, but wouldn't mind hearing suggestions on how/why 2hc or 2wc would improve my build drastically in survivability and offense while remaining a picker at heart.

Strength (STR): 100 (25) ... 100 (25)
Constitution (CON): 72 (6) ... 72 (6)
Dexterity (DEX): 100 (35) ... 100 (35)
Agility (AGI): 100 (30) ... 100 (30)
Discipline (DIS): 80 (5) ... 80 (5)
Aura (AUR): 78 (24) ... 78 (24)
Logic (LOG): 66 (8) ... 66 (8)
Intuition (INT): 69 (14) ... 69 (14)
Wisdom (WIS): 66 (13) ... 66 (13)
Influence (INF): 47 (-6) ... 47 (-6)

Pretty much everything is 1x or 2x, with disarming and picking being 2.5x

I have 2x shield and 2x dodge...and where I'm currently hunting(same level as me stuff), they are still swinging pretty high against me and I get nicked up decently quickly...even with not being out in the open.

Also, i don't currently have any CMan's picked...I only got this guy activated a few days ago, and I'm still getting back into my old groove. I was thinking of Combat Mobility and Combat Movement to start...I've heard a lot of griping about SMastery and Surge.

I was at Nilandia's site, and her spreadsheet says I only need 30 ranks of armor use to reduce the RT in brig fully, but I see lots of other posts saying 40 trains is needed. I'm still debating on whether or not to go higher at the moment for Hauberk or MBP...isn't there a step in between Brig and MBP/Hauberk that is still useful..or is the middle not worth it.

Vaalin Banded Shield...what size is that(medium/small/large) and what should I be using size wise for my training.

Also, do I need AS to get scarabs? Is AS always going to be necessary to disarm scarabs or will I eventually be able to disarm them fine without AS, if AS is needed, how many ranks are needed period.

I would recommend going heavy subtlety/assassination. It's great for ganking cloth in BGs.

I'm much more partial to something like this (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fhe0oxgsizVohZE0T)...not a big fan of the high end sub tree...

It's a cookie cutter build, you'll be fine.

As far as the brig hinderance. I was under the impression you needed 35 ranks to train off the hinderance.

But I have recently acquired a self ammo bow which is 3 second base RT under most any situation.. Unless you are under trained for your armor. One of my rogues has only 35 ranks in armor, and winds up getting a 4 second RT for the bow. So I am assuming 40 ranks is the actual needed for the RT. 8 seconds at 20 per is 140..

35 might be for the casting hinderance.

I see your STR DEX and AGI are all max at 38, or what level did that happen because I believe you might've lost valuable stat bonuses for later on...

Oh and theres no point in picking, you should know you have to underhunt if you do. Only way to maximize a rogue's potential is pure combat, seeing how every profession can learn to pick and 1x picking is mostly all you should need if you did wanna pick.

Not sure what level they all maxxed at, it was around 1995 or so when this character was rolled up for the first time...and it was under the auto rolling system where you had to pick your stats as randomly generated. All things considered, I think it worked out pretty well.

As far as picking, I enjoy it. Not quite as busy as I remember in the E Tower with the advent of all these other towns sadly. But it's something I enjoy doing, thats why I don't want to give it up. I think I can find a good balance, I don't need to up-hunt...I can spend an extra 5 minutes hunting like level and get the same place as up-hunting it would seem so far.

You can pick above your head, early-mid game, if you 2x it.
