Some company genetically engineering strange breeds of cats and dogs. A cat that looks about the size of a big dog, and dogs the size of toys.
Cool stuff?
Freaky?
Dangerous?
Who cares?
Long as they can breath properly and it doesn't cause them any pain, I see nothing wrong with having a pimpin cat or a pocket dog.
Cool stuff?
Freaky?
Dangerous?
Who cares?A mix of the first three, on top of a staggering price tag of $22,000 per order.

Er, the picture gallery didn't seem to show cats any larger than normal. Hard to tell since there weren't any pics with dimensional references really. The lady's leg and the couch made it look normal.

I've seen these cats before. They are pretty big, but get freaked out so easily(atleast the 3 I saw). I wouldn't say as big as a horse, but they are pretty freakin big...

My brother's cat has recently been eclipsed by my five year olds weight. The cat weighs 38lbs!

Maybe I'm just paranoid, or watch too much TV, but I reaaallly think genetics is some place we should stay away from.
Humans have fucked everything ELSE up, what makes us think we won't screw up in genetics?

I think the fact that you're able to make that post on these forums at all is a pretty amazing demonstration of how awesome science can be. If I were you, I think I'd be far more terrified by nanotechnology than genetics.

Every single time Latrin makes a post I can't help that I'm flooded with Rocky Raccoon lyrics.

We shouldn't be screwing with god's plan. Nature isn't meant for meddling!!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go don my polyester blend sweat pants, jump into my fossil-fuel driven car, and hit up the hospital to talk about getting a baboon heart.

I'm sure a lot of good could come from genetics, but you never know what could happen.

Is that the one where the penguin would walk all the way to the store to get some fish? That penguin was cool. Also, I wouldn't mind some mini animals so long as they are safe. A mini-Rhino or a mini-Elephant would be pretty cool to have.
On second thought.....

That penguin rules.
Oh man... a little rhino with like a nerf horn that just fucking charged people all the time would rule.
And pot-bellied elephant is the term you were looking for... but you may be an elephant with four asses.
