To convert a player to anther deity... first of all, I am assuming that the deity must have a shrine in the Lands (meaning one cannot be converted to "other"). If I am wrong please enlighten...
Secondly, I'm assuming that in order for the one being converted to be successful, he must find three clerics to cast at his gem... But...

Does the first cleric have to be a follower of the exact deity that the convertee is converting to?

I don't think they made that restriction, otherwise it would have been near impossible to ever change to certain gods. Though, I think if you have a match (IE, a Charl priest making a Charl gem), you may need only one priest blessing the gem.

Intercession is the fifth common tier blessing a Cleric is able to grant using the spell 325, Holy Receptacle. Special thanks goes to GM Gyres for the nifty deity-specific messaging.

This spell imbues a gem with the ability to convert another player to the Cleric's deity. Once created, the Cleric WAVEs the gem at the person they wish to convert while chanting an intercession on their behalf. That player becomes attuned to the gem. The player then needs to be given the gem so they may continue the ritual. Once the player feels they are worthy to begin making sacrifices to the deity, the player RUBs the gem. The gem will shatter and a coffer should appear, ready to accept silver offerings (via the PUT # SILVERS/COINS IN MY COFFER command). Once a sufficient (and substantial) offering has been placed within the coffer, the player should then bring the coffer to a shrine of the deity and OFFER the coffer to the deity to complete the ritual.

Players may convert to deities within the same pantheon (Liabo, Lornon and Neutral) as the deity of the Cleric if the player has two other sufficiently powerful Clerics of the same pantheon cast Holy Receptacle at the gem.

Requirements: Blessing Lore 50 skill/10 ranks, Religion Lore 120 skill/30 ranks, and Gem Value >=4001.

This makes it unclear about converting to Other....I guess if you have a cleric of the Neutral pantheon do the blessing (along with two other clerics), you should be able to convert to Other.

As for the shrine thing, I believe the Temple will do for whoever doesn't have an established shrine? Is there even a shrine for every God? I don't think so.

so, if I have a cleric that is "other" then I should only need the one cleric to bless the gem? then make the offering at a temple... right?

Yup. But I am not sure what temple would honor Other.

The way it works is - If you want to convert to say...Eorgina....

You'd need a cleric of Eorgina to make the gem for you. OR, alternitively you could have 3 Diffrent clerics of Lornon Arkati bless the gem, even if they don't worship Eorgina.

When you do your prayer, it has to be in a holy area to the god your trying to convert too (Such can be SENSED by Paladins and Clerics)
