So I was hunting around for something cool to spend some money on and found this. Thinking about giving it a shot. Anyone tried it yet?

Read about that recently and thought it seemed pretty bad ass.
On a slightly related note I'm looking forward to checking out the new Shuttle Experience over at NASA.
That could be fun, but for the price I’d rather do a week long safari in Africa.

3700 bucks for 30 seconds? Eesh. Skydive...it's a hella lot cheaper.

15 times 30... the entire flight lasts 90 minutes with 15 parabolas to induce weightlessness.

Now you're talking. That or an international cruise would be sweet.

I think its 90 minutes.

The typical flight for the ZERO-G Experience, which features 15 parabolas, lasts approximately 90 minutes. During the weightless maneuvers (called parabolas) you experience two Lunar (1/6th gravity) and three Martian (1/3rd gravity) sessions, followed by approximately 10 total zero-g parabolas. Each parabola provides about 30 seconds of weightlessness. By the end of the flight you will log about 10 minutes of weightless - that's more zero gravity time than Alan Shepard experienced on America's first human spaceflight.

OK...so 370 duckits per minute of weightlessness...still expensive.

Consider the factor costs -- it's relatively inexpensive considering you won't get it anywhere else and attempting to replicate it would cost you likely millions.

If I had the bones to drop on that, I'd do it.

That sounds like a decent price for the experience. But I'm holding out for an orbiting hotel. If I'm paying a premium I want to be weightless in a stateroom with a view and a martini to suck on!

That martini will be fun in the weightless room.
Riding the vomit comet would be cool but I think I'll just wait until we have civilian space flight and drop 20Gs on that.
