Well, I walked into TC and noticed Khaladon sittin there, so I started joking around with him about me fighting him.

He ended up hurling plasma at me and then a fireball, which ended up killing me.

After I sent a few reports asking if he would at least return my deed, I said:

>report Don't make me fight for my deed back.

And got this:

SEND[Khaladon] want to die again? Heh, and honestly, we're so busy, cut down on the report.

So I said this:

report Well I didn't tell you I wanted to fight you, it was in a joking manner seeing as how I knew I would lose. I didn't ask ya to kill me so frankly, I shouldnt have died or suffer the consequences of dieing.

And got this:

SEND[Khaladon] there is your deed and your report is now off, have a great night




He turned off my report? Why? He should have given me my deed back in the very first place. What an ass.

I've delt with Khaladon and I think he is one of the more even-tempered GM's that exist. Did you check your deeds? They can reset those you know.

Khaladon's great, and he has a great deal more patience than I'd have, I can assure you.

Khaladon is in my opinion the best gm there is, were it not for him I'd have left a long time ago. Personally, don't "mess with" a GM less you want to accept the consequences, which means no sorry ass whining cause you lost a whole 1k deed.

Khaladan has taken more deeds from me than any single character in the game... and i have enjoyed dying every single time
had a day where he took a few Deeds form me in about a 5 min timespan
he is how i feel all gms should be

I had many creative and totally enjoyable deaths at Khaladon's evil hands in Plat....and the other warped and evil GMs as well. But Khaladon's kills have such panache.

In this case, I agree with the others, Garr. If you egg a GM on, and that GM decides to have a bit of fun at your expense, you get what you deserve. The deed is nothing in the broad scheme of things, and you know it.

Anybody who has played GS for any amount of time knows that Khaladon is the playful sort, and his play can often be deadly to the character he has chosen to toy with (or who asked to be toyed with). Khal is a damned good GM, who cares about the game and those who play it.

Now, did it ever occur to you that massive changes have just been made and the new game just went live yesterday? Do you suppose the GMs were busy as all hell chasing bugs and answering Reports? Yet, Khaladon took the time to play specifically with you for a bit.

What did you do? You immediately began to whine and Report. After "a few" reports from you, Khaladon asked you to cut down on the reports. You immediately Reported AGAIN! Sheesh!

I will tell you right now, I would have killed your ass again! Forget the damned deed. It would have been a cold day in hell before I raised your ass, much less returned your freaking DEED!

Okay.. never had a problem with you Garr..honestly you know I haven't... but MY GOD.. do you honestly think that you were not wrong in this situation? Everyone is right, speaking with a GM is OOC. I personally have waved or said hi to Khaladon if I see him come in to a room to speak to someone but I would never try to bait him or take up his time. Especially not in a time where GSIV just went live and they are busting their asses to keep it running and fix bugs. Secondly.. at Garr's age a deed is around 1k maybe a bit more and that is nothing, once again making your incessant use of report completely ridiculous. Khaladon is a very even tempered and playful GM. I have had a few instances where I interacted with him and I loved every minute of it. I am sure that if you had behaved maturely and not bugged the holy hell out of him you would have received a much better reception from him. Way to be an ass and then whine over it.

Actually.. I feel sorry for people who pay that much for deeds at any level. :smug:

easy and quick way to get deeds..5k... Goto various shops around elanthia... for example gemshop in the carnaversary on the trail to solhaven.... you go in and buy a dwarf cut ruby, they are worth 5k and act as a 5k gem.

And I think the last time Falgrin got deeds.. they cost a total of maybe 1.5K each. This was probably 6 or 7 months ago.

2. You give him reason to kill you.
3. You whine using the report because you were stupid enough to joke with said GM about fighting.
4. They get so sick of you they remove your ability to report.

Khaladon is fine in my book. The last interaction I had with him concerned a bank transfer of my Landing account to the River's Rest bank, (due to the whole GS4 switchover).

Now I swear, he must have looked in on me at first, when answering my assist....but regardless, aware that I was in the middle of a hunting area, he drops 300k into my pocket. Needless to say, a critter 20 levels beneath my character socked me a good one and killed me.

Send Khaladon> Huh. You're in a hunting area, probably should have waited for you to get somewhere safe. (paraphrase)

That alone, might have come off kind of jerk like, but he instant rezzed me, and then transported my character from Solhaven to the Rest. Where my character had vowed not to be around.....so, to cover this, he had me appear as a ghost as I deposited my funds in the bank, then zipped me back to Solhaven.

Some of the best fun I had in a bit.
