I can't link to that at work...
But i love dogs...they are just the best. I rescued two mutts (both shepard/chow mixes(no relation)) from there, and they are just the best. Who else in your life is as excited to see you when you come from work every day of their lives as your dogs...with a caveat I guess that you don't treat them like shit and deserve to be shot in the head.

It's a video of a dog attacking a shark.

It's attacking a shark thats been caught and is just still in the water. I thought it would be a dog attacking a shark that was menacing it's master or something :)

It looked like the fight has already been taken out of the shark... (exhausted its strength fighting the line that brought it to the boat) ... the dog just took it to shore.

Tell you what:
I live near shark-filled waters. Come on by and we'll go out and catch one. Then, you can wrestle it to shore using nothing but your hands and teeth. Sheesh- show a little respect for a kick-ass pet.

My observation that the dog had a very easy time (at least, compared to what I'd expect) of taking the shark to the shore.
I did not see any fighting back on behalf of the shark (which is why my perception is that the fight was already taken out of the shark).
I am a proud owner of an energetic yellow labador. I am high in my opinion of dogs.

I agree with Atlanteax here, the shark seemed too weak to fight back. The dog looked uber cute though :D

Glad you have high opinions of dogs. Too bad you have a low opinion of sharks. You must not run across many of them in Michigan. Even a tired shark is dangerous. It's true that dog could have had a difficult/fatal time with a livelier shark- but I don't see how that matters. Dog had balls.

So, you do not think it's possible, that the dog is well-trained?
ie, the owners, ensured that the shark had no fight left... decided it would be safe/fun for the dog to jump in and take the shark to shore and videotape it.
I'd be thrilled to have the opportunity to brag that my dog wrestled a shark to shore.
But in all honestly, it did look like the dog was well-trained in "retrieval" along of the lines of the training involved for duck hunters.
That dog knew how to grapple the shark and push it to shore, and did it efficiently (and quickly).
Impressive for both the owners and the dog.

I think it's very likely that dog is well trained. That shark was definitely worn out. But a shark (even a tired one) ain't a damned duck. *using his M/C commercial voice* "Shark-retrieving dog? Priceless!"

An exhausted shark is no match for a well-trained dog. =)
Now, if the shark was much bigger (and obviously more difficult for that dog to grapple and manuever), it would definately be "HOLY!!!" impressive.

I'd rather you take my offer :P I promise we'll tire the shark out for you first :).

I actually think the shark was already dead. Cool dog, but totally irresponsible pet owners for letting the dog jump in if it the shark wasn't already dead.
