Hey, I just got my eyebrow pierced a few days ago, after I got it done, the place gave me a piece of paper telling me what i should do to keep it clean, after reading it, all it really told me was to wash it with salene solution as often as I can.
I was told not to cover it with a bandaid or anything when I sleep, cause it will stay in that position.
Any know if this is all I need to do, or if there is anything else that need to be done?
Also, How long should I wait before I Change the the loop to a diffrent style?

Use alcohol. Pain is for pussies.

You should go back to the place that did it and ask them these questions. I'm a little concerned that they didn't cover all this information when they did the piercing in the first place. Are they licensed to do them? Are they reputable? Using a salene solution..not something I've heard of before, but then again I only had my ears pierced. Maybe it's different for other parts of the body. Somehow I doubt it.

I had to use hydrogen peroxide, a few times a day, turn the loop in my ear twice a day to prevent crust/scabbing, and after two weeks I could get a pair of "real" earrings.

But don't take my word for it, because I'm not a professional, nor do I know much about piercings other than in the ears. It's the responsibility of the people who did yours to tell you how to deal with it. If they don't, then they're neglecting their responsibility to their customer.

Salene or sea salt is what most piercing studios recommend to aid the healing process.

My advice would be to take it out. Most eyebrow piercings look like open wounds, even months after the piercing. They're also trendy and effeminate. Unless that's your thing, of course.

Otherwise, just use good judgement on the thing. You'll know when it's a good time to take it out and replace it with something else.

Use nothing but saline solution -- prefferably one prepared by yourself with the appropriate amount of sea salt (no iodine) and warm (not hot) water.

Any other kind of chemical is going to irritate the piercing.

Don't rotate the piercing, but make sure the jewlery is secure. Wash your hands before and after you touch it, every time, WITHOUT FAIL. And if you have problems contact your piercer, don't rely on what others tell you you ought to do. The piercer would know more t han anyone.

>>The piercer would know more t han anyone.<<

If only that were true. I've met good piercers. I've met decent piercers. I've met piercers that shouldn't even be allowed to tie their own shoes.

The piercer *should* know more than anyone, but I wouldn't take that on faith.

i only get pierced at APP certified places, by APP certified people, so... I guess if you choose the right place, then you're good.
