>Is it possible in the future for bard spell documentation to reflect the affect of lores on the spells more concretely? Say, like the Paladin spell documentation? -dan/gnimble
The main issue is that the Bard lore progressions don't tend to fall in line with an established system, as we had when writing up the Paladin list with the whole seed/multiplier summation thing. I imagine this is something that we'll go over during the next Bard lore review.

There are plans for a general review of lore benefits for the 1000 circle. I don't have a specific time frame yet, but you'll hear more about it when I do.

Grrr, I hope they do wizard lore review first... water lore is about as useful as spell store.

Just make spell training 1 TP less fucking expensive for bards and save yourself the QC. Make it more difficult to swim while playing the bagpipes.

I'm just curious, although it would be a bitch to actually ward water elementals, what does focused ice patch do to them?
I know cold flares give them a slow effect and fire flares are more potent against them.

Wizards have the highest possible CS in game atm.. So it should be fairly easy for them if one tried properly. I seem to see more wizards going the 101/101/101 spells when they cap though. Not sure why.

How do wizards have higher possible CS than sorcs? Highest possible CS being MnE, but for both Wiz/Sorc that's just dumb, a wizard going for CS would want MjE, so they would have the same setup as sorcs (MjE-maxed, MnE-75/4, Wiz-66?). Kinda sucks having Wiz at 66 though (as far as 913/905 for DS, and 925 are concerned) just for Immolation CS (immolation is badass, but it sucks that that's the only attack spell you get maxed CS for that route)

Because an average GWE spawn can put up 500 Elemental TD easily, more if you let them spell up.

Rapid fire Immo with 2x fire lore in the temple is effing brutal. Fry in seconds.

Well for one, I would assume that no sorcerer would be stupid enough to hunt with the 400s sphere.
And though I know of wizards still using 400s(which would be the absolute highest CS route), I would recommend the 500s for 519. Either way means you can get about 25-50 CS higher than any other class.
Sorcerer sphere only gets half the bonus from 425.
edit - im not actually sure you could get a higher 400s than 500s with a wizard. If so its only around 1-2 points.

Ah, didn't realize sorc spells got half the bonus... I'm curious who has the highest success threshold though... what with elemental TDs being so much higher. (hell highest success threshold is probably rangers or bards...)

I had a 523 bardic CS with a +25 CvA.
Their bardic TD is much lower than their elemental TD so I was still able to ward them frequently.

I thought CvA was constant for any spell cast from any circle.

Oh, it is, I'm just happy the CvA isn't lower for the hardest-to-ward normal spawn creature in the game.

Someone post the TDs for water elementals for each sphere you have access to?

I know the average spawn GWE (105) comes with a 450 bardic TD. It can put up 430 giving it 50, and 508 for another 20.
I think they spawn close to 500 for MnE and MjE spheres.
However, they are weak against fire and have, IIRC, relatively low bolt DS.
They are in studded or reinforced leather, again, IIRC.

So 523 vs 450, and 560+ vs 500, I didnt think bards would beat wizards out that much.
Has anyone actually capped out the 500 sphere CS? I am assuming it gets up around 564-565, but havent actually have a chance to try it. Would like to know what numbers someone else has gotten.

I plan to be at 175 MjE at cap with my mage.
AestheticDeath

175? why. It wont help going beyond 166 or so at most I think.
I know my capped empath and one or two others saw no benefit to CS going beyond 166 ranks in the primary sphere for an empath.
67/67/166 - and then you have 3 ranks to do something with on the lesser spheres.
Though with elementals, you aughta be doing 67/74/162, wiz/minor/major. Or at least thats what I will do. Lose out on alot of DS, but it shouldnt be a big problem.

There are a few wizards in OTF with a 550+ CS. They immolate the shit out of everything.

Yet 175 ranks in one sphere seems to be wasting CS.

430 - 13 DS/TD
905 - ~8 DS
913 - ~11 DS
32ish DS and 13TD for not getting 100 MnE and 100 Wiz.
I'm currently of the opinion I'll be going 67/74/162 as well, but I'm not sure yet. I don't ever see anyone going 67/166/70 though, not worth the 15 bolt AS lost. I want to see someone go 30/43/230... I think that's about what it takes to get a 60 sec RT down to 1 second with haste. :D

I suppose one's goal in any hunting ground post cap is to roll a 2 and be able to hit anything there.

Before Nelemar, Griffins were the highest creature in the game. An average spawn griffin has 390 Bardic TD with a 25 CvA. My first task in OTF was to make sure I could autoward them.
With manipulation training, I could nearly crit kill with 1030 100% of the time assuming it hit a vital location.
