Titles · on 5/20/2007 1:39:17 AM
Have been hashed out and done.
Mechanics to buy them are in QC.
When they done, they done, but I got my part done, except for one small update I need from onsite, but I called Gorlash the other day and he assured me ain't a big job.

Grand....so what are the titles? Not that my main'd ever wear one.

Premium titles are going to be titles you can "buy" with your Premium points. Depending on what they are, I could possibly see myself getting one. They would have to be culture specific, though.
Flame away, a lot of people wanted this system.

Seems a bit generic....at 39.95/mo, you'd think they'd be able to customize this a bit. QC'd of course so that you didn't see "GrandPuff'stress Such-and-Such just arrived".

Agreed. Definitely not a service for everyone, and definitely not a good idea to have custom titles. It would clog up the system getting them through QC.

To me, it'd be like an alter scroll....you put your request in and it's approved or not. That would keep the "moronity" at bay.

So if I'm reading this correctly, Shoddy-yet-excellent-30%-off-discount-Terrycloth-Blood-of-Christ-stained-kitten-silk-fluffy-Dwarven porn star is out of the question? :(
Maybe if I replace terrycloth with spidersilk. Spidercloth.
Terryspider.
Spider. Spider-Dwarf.
Lord Spiderdwarf, the Arachnid midget Voodoo God... 2x?

Yeah, because the consistency of GMs on all fronts over the past decade has been stellar.
But to be fair, I believe anything through the PP system is rigorously investigated and held to a higher standard.

Yea I know, but it beats the hell outta some greneralized title that basically costs you 160+ bucks to get.
As I said, my main would never wear a title. It'd be nice to see some unique variations of of the crap assed titles that are offered and people choose to wear. Grand Lord/Lady? What's so grand about him/her? I kinda laugh everytime I see that seeing as how it only takes what, 80 trains or capping to get there?(really, I'm not sure of this)

Someone along time ago told me something about the "Grand Lord/Lady" title that has stuck with me... it reminded them of "Land Lord/Lady". If a title re-vamp was to be done, I would of preferred to see the current prename title list worked on.

I love PP systems.
Grand Lord / lady comes at 100 trains.
I never wore any, ever. I always preferred to supprise people who didn't know they could be crushed by my character.
When they changed Bounty Hunter to Buckaneer or whatever, in the rogues list, I gave up on titles all together so this is another change I'm not excited about.

I LOVE the scoundrel title for rogues...it's what I worked to get for 20 trains. If there was an urchin title, I'd swap in a heartbeat.
There should be an option for 'Cad' in the rogues list :)

OK...so Lords control what?/who? in the game? It basically is allowed as a pre-title as soon as you hit the required amount of trains.
Don't get me wrong...in the days before you weren't allowed to turn your title off....I thought it was cool to have made Lord. But now? Whatever...you're a lord/lady....big whoop.
And that's just MHO.

It's the same thing as being knighted. Sir Elton John has no power over me, but he's still Sir Elton John.

I was hoping for unique titles also but unfortunately that's not gonna happen.. We will be able to purchase a LIST of titles for a set price using premie points. Everyone will be buying the same list.
