Archery DS and Ambush

Does anyone have proof that Ambush ranks increase the DS of a character using a ranged weapon?

If so, by how much?

If so, is the DS also capped at 80?

Fairly certain ambush plays no part in DS. But I havent played an archer in awhile.

ER, I think I misread that. I read that as saying ambush, not archery. Forget my other responses.

I'm sorry, I read DS but I figured you meant AS. I don't think it affects DS at all.

i'm pretty sure it doesn't. When the gms gave out a fixskill after the cm changes, I dropped all my ambushing and hiding ranks on my ranger. I didn't notice a drop in my defense.

With my experience as an archer rogue fully maxed in ambush as well as perception. I've never heard of ambush affecting DS. Now I've heard perception affects DS. The formulas differ depending on who you ask though. And everyone who has a formula swears by it. :(

I nuked armor back to brig and upped dodge even more, still waiting a set of hcp brig to fall into my hands so I can do some testing in OTF. Also waiting until I finish voln with Jaken (he's brawl shield again), then I'll be back in OTF in force. ;)

With that said, if I am not impressed with the results, I'll have my 5/20 fixskill to revert back to mbp. (1 day until next fixskill!)

I've liquidated all my coins at the moment so I'm on the slow refresh process until I can get the boys back to OTF. Now if you're giving it away, I do accept charity. ;)
