I typically don't like the build/zerg type RTS genre.. not very challenging and gets boring quickly.

That being said I'll be willing to at least try SC2.. just because it's SC2.

True, the Blizzard RTS' have been very "just build up an insane force and crush them"... WC3 was pretty good in limiting how much you could zerg, but still...

Warhammer 40k RTS was awesome, really like all the game workshop games being made into video games... very good concepts there. (Now they just need to work on getting Tyranids into them... and don't bring up space hulk.)

I got into the RTS because I used to play Warhammer Fantasy back in the day. I really liked the table-top game but lost interest when my friends and I moved for college. I tried playing with the people at the university game theory club but they were fucking weird; I was so uncomfortable around them. They were worse than a good portion of the people at E3 (side note: really hot, poorly ventilated room filled with thousands of nerds who think bathing is for the weak = wicked spicy BO).

I'd start playing SC again or WC3 even if there were people on the PC that wanted to give it a go.

Except, most of you probably will claim to play "Starcraft", and then turn around and want to play that pussy-ass "Broodwars". Starcraft is a much more strategic and challenging game. Often I'll find someone wanting to play, but then turn around and only play Broodwars.

I have both, mind, but I much rather fancy/favour Starcraft. ANYONE ELSE GOT THEM? We can have some 2 on 2's, and the like.

I was pretty excited when I heard about it, I just need to hear more about "hero's" and how they will work. I hated hero's in WC3 and that caused me to dump that game after about 1 week, haven't picked it up since. I'm still puttering around with SC/BW, Company of Hero's and Medieval 2 Total War.
