:medieval: Hey Im wanting to make a new warrior, just because i love the idea behide them and never really had one. for RP reasons i, wanting to be Giant and swing a Maul....can a giant get the RT down to 5 with a maul...and not sacrafice to much in other areas? any training paths that come to mind?
or should I go with one of the more nimble Races (elf, kolven, or even half elf)
also without spending a mint is there a really good maul i need to keep my eyes open for?

oh should i go with voln...or the other (cough) group :tumble:

thanks ahead of time

Yea a giant can swing a maul in 5 seconds.

Make sure your DEX bonus and AGI bonus add to 23. That's -2 seconds off the weapon base.

I've heard both sides to the argument on this. Personally, I would go with CoL for a giantman warrior. Unless you also want to train in brawling, it's tough to level in Voln having to beg for blesses (although Voln-Fu I'm told is a perfectly acceptable training option). I just like the boni better from CoL (35 AS/DS, sign of healing) and the fact that you can finish it in a weekend, as opposed to a few months. On a side note, my friend whose got a near-30s Giantman claidh wielding warrior is considering switching to CoL, so just food for thought.

I had two giantman warriors, one in CoL and one in Voln.

Personally, I liked the Voln one better.

<<as opposed to a few months.>>

My paladin was a Voln master within 25 days of the release of paladins.

I switched my human polearm(debating TWC w/ katana's) warrior from Voln to CoL and then back to Voln. The blesses suck but brawling is cheap and once you get the first Fu kick you are good to go the rest of the way.

Yeah, you can't dual-wield katanas, I'm pretty sure you can do katana + another weapon though.

Aside: Making Katanawielder under the presumption that you could dual wield katanas turned out to be a pretty disappointing experience.
