Stupid AOL

So a friend of mine is using AOL 9.0. Everytime he tries to send me a smiley, it causes my AIM to crash. Yet another genius AOL idea, let's make our smileys incompatible with AIM.

AOL 9.0 sucks from what I hear. Tons of bugs, but then, what's new?

I had a ton of bugs with my AOL 8.0 and just uninstalled it. Gonna try to fresh install it back on when I get back to school just because my parents still have it. Still a pain in the ass. You'd think that they would have something as simple as making compatability with their other service.

My 8.0 works ok, but I have learned to upgrade my aol in a similar fashion to my MS OS. Wait a good while before switching as they always seem to have a boatload of bugs to fix.

AOL sucks in general. Not just v9.0.

Especially 9.0, though.

What I don't get is their broadband service. Basically you have to pay to use their client. On top of that, you have to pay for a broadband connection through your local ISP. Whytf are people doing this?

Use IE and OE....AOL's client is like a magnet for virii and malware. And you're going to pay extra for it?!
