I'm going to say no. I believe those Talismans need to have the spell somehow cast through them to work, and as this item is MIU based that wont fly. You would need a Self-knowledge Familiar item.

I have one of these armbands. They are groovy.

You'd be able to luck it by summoning in different places and hope for the best. Or buy a more expensive item which summon's specific familiars (wolves etc).

check the "what is this worth" forum on the officials. it's a bastard sword that can either cast a unique wolf once a day or bless itself for an hour. has sold for ~40m in the past, i think, but familiar items seem to be dropping in price lately.

Okay, so out of curiousity.. when you use this call familiar item, the familiar only stays around for the normal duration right? It doesn't somehow last as long as you are in the game does it? Cause if not, you can't really renew the spell to keep it around.. or does it not work like that with these items?

Yea, sadly, it's 1x a day for the duration that CF works for. So it's a pain!

Granted if you had some means to renew the spell(a scroll) you could.

I'd love to have a familiar for a few of my non-wizard characters. Its too bad I don't have call familliar scrolls or I'd be tempted to buy that. :)

No, because that item is 1x a day, without running out of charges. Whereas scrolls will run out. Having that item combined with the scroll makes it last long on both sides. I dunno, I'm tired and my logic is failing today, leave me alone! :(
