How do you all spend your days? Whats a typical 24 hour period like for you? I'm curious.

My day today is pretty much a "Typical" day for me.

from 8-8 I work at a law firm doing that's right..no legal work at all. I run the computers.

When I get home at about 8:15 i'll change my clothes and call a couple friends. We'll go out and do..something..I'll get home around 2 AM, sleep, and tomorrow i'll log onto GS4 and test things out.

Typical day for me is:
Up at 7, make sure the kids are awake and moving in the direction of school. Coffee, lots of coffee and the news. Get the dogs out and fed, get online and read email, post whatever.
If I have baking to do for the restaurant I'll get that done (I make all the desserts). Straighten up the house, make lists for the kids to do when they get home. Head for work around 12, Cook all the dinner specials, do the advertizing, register.. blah blah blah I'm the head cook, kitchen manager, floor manager and dishwasher if she doesn't show up. We close at 8 and I'm usually home by 9. Commune with my kids for awhile, check to see if Ardwen is still here, if he is I play GS, if he isn't I'm gone. I try to get to bed by 11:30. On Mondays and Tuesday when I give people days off I work from 4:30 am to 9 pm... long days.
Boring but I do love the work.

I do not have any really "typical" days. My business sees to that. I direct an organization that supplies hospice care to the dying, so I can get a call at any time of the day or night that requires my attention. I tend to be the "hands-on" type.;) Often, I am at my office in the middle of the night, taking care of things that need to be done in the quiet hours. Other times, I work from home.

I do enjoy spending time reading, and these boards (of course!) call me often. My aging grandmother, my recovering-from-injury mother, and I all live together so there is always something happening. It just is not typical.

HarmNone is anything but typical

I work 8-hour days right now. I'm starting my new job the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which will be a 4-10 schedule... I cannot wait.

Obviously I spend enought time on this damn thing. I try to swim at least 3000 meters five times a week, I read, and go out with people from work and friends when they come to town.

Right now I'm working for a before and after school program. I want to get my foot in the door of the school system before I go alternate route to get my teaching certificate (I already have a B.A.)

Anyway, I usually work from 7:15-8:45 and then again at 3-6. In between, I play online or go shopping. If i have to plan out activities then I'll do that instead. It's nice to get paid "enough" and have free time. Personally, I'm looking forward to full time work next year.

I catch up on the weekends, wake up at 11am or so. I'm alright with at least 2+ hours of sleep, it's those 30 min of sleep days that are tough to get through (I fell asleep in a meeting)

Heh...sounds like my exact response, including the falling asleep at a meeting.

Was right down in front too and i nodded off only to snap awake and to my horror the guest speaker was standing directly in front of me just looking at me and asked loudly, "Were you sleeping?" Of course I shamelessly lied and said no, when in doubt, deny deny deny.

I don't have a schedule because I'm on call :(

My 24 hours consist of these activities:

Work, play with/tend to my son, hop online and do online things, hang out with/harass my husband, sleep. Oh, add eating in there at some point.

Usually weekends, depending on whats going on. You could have a school, training event, CQ or staff duty that would require you to work weekends though.

In places where I say BS/nap, could also mean GS...anyway...

6:50 wake up, shower, walk to class
8:00-1:00 class
1:00-2:00 lunch
(mondays i have lab from 2:00-5:30, other days i head back and take a nap or go to the gym)
6:00-7:00 dinner
7:00-10:00 homework, BS online
10:00-??? depending on my work load, i'll either be at the library or stay in my room and work/BS
usually get to bed around 2-3 am

3 days a week I chill with my Little Sibling (play vid games, take out to eat, or throw frisbee/football around) for a few hours too

No two days are the same for me.

I am doomed to be on crazy shiftwork until retirement. Days, afternoons, midnights, evenings all mixed up in the same "rounds". Weekdays, weekends, holidays, no matter with sometimes less than 8h between shifts.

I don't think my system will ever get used to it. Seeing the boys eat a greasy oven sub at 4-5am always turns my stomach.

...you don't want to know my diet.

<= ate an 18" and a 14" specialty pizza last night around 1 am.

Up at 7, at school by 7:50. Bio, Gym, Art II, holocaust studies, Current World Affairs. Go home for lunch and complain about how much I hate school. Go back to school at 1 for Java and English class.

Watch my soap from 3 to 4. Run an errand at 4. Start homework. Eat dinner at 6 and shower till 7. Homework till 11. Spend one hour focusing totally on GS, Boards, etc. Drop in bed at 12 and repeat.
