I dont have a printer an i need 2 print something, but i do haev a stand alone fax machine, my laptop has a 56k fax modem an i gto a phone cord that'll reach from laptop modem to fax machine line in jack, so i was wonderin if anyone knew of away to connect tha 2 devices like that an be able 2 send a fax from the laptop directly 2 tha fax machine, get back at me if u can help i'm kinda in a rush .. . . . .. .....-john

That will only work if you have 2 different phone lines (numbers). You'll have to go from laptop to wall (out line 1) and from wall to fax (in line 2). Then use the laptop to dial the number the fax is connected to. Otherwise the two devices will not initiate or sync.

Can't you just send the document to yourself via e-mail and print it out at a library?
