I would highly suggest not logging out right now. It looks as if the billing department is major league jacked up. You cannot access the site, and some people cannot access the game at all.

It happens on rare occasions. I have it set up so I see everyone log in regardless of whether they're highlighted, and I haven't seen anyone log in since 10:31pm Eastern. The billing message is just an error and nothing to reflect on actual billing.

Just noticed this myself, the SGE and website are both projecting a problem with accounts, due to billing errors. I know all my bills are paid and up to date.

I was able to log in earlier up to about 9:40 CST. After that, I got the billing error window and a redirect. (Simu's half hearted attempt at a reach around)

Announcement: As an update, the onsite staff is working to address the problem (and its an Oracle server issue, not my cookie crumbs, damn heathen newbie GMs). At this point, its just the website and logins, and they don't expect to reboot and the games are working fine, just don't logoff or disconnect or you will not be able to get back in. Thanks for the patience.

I think they accidentally flipped the switch for what they planned to do on purpose tomorrow. The Yahoo group said this today:

"Due to the need for emergency hardware maintenance, the website,
forums, and any other features of Play.Net that require you to "log
in" to something will be unavailable between the hours of 11:00 am and
Noon Eastern. This also means that while the games will be up and
running, you will not be able to log in during that period and, if you
get disconnected, you will not be able to return until this
maintenance has been completed. If you are already logged into the
game during this time period, you should not notice any issues and
should not have any problems related to this situation.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will endeavour to resolve this
issue as quickly as possible.
