Archer Animates and the undead

because you can't animate the undead, i am rather limited on my animates that i can use in Ta'Vaalor. and even more so limited on which ones would even be able to assist me in the bog. The only one that could really touch any of the bog critters would be one of the Centuar Rangers with a bow. But, they generate thier own arrows... would the arrows be able to hit the undead without a bless? could you bless the bow itself? Any Ideas?

You can actually animate the undead. You cannot, however, animate noncorporeal undead. So you can animate Warrior Shades in the bog, or you could try the Monks in the Weald.

As of yet, however, there is no way to bless the arrows produced by creatures. I've asked on the boards a few times, but there has never been a response.

That brings up an interesting quandry of the undead being able to hold a blessed weapon.

I remember way back when you were disarmed by a warrior shade, it couldnt pick up the weapon because it [weapon] was blessed. Is that still the rule or has it been changed?

Is that still the rule or has it been changed?I've definitely had a shade pick up my blessed maul, but only off of my corpse. It's bonded, though, so he generally wouldn't get a chance to pick it up if he did have successful disarm.

Yea, I thought I heard that the concept of an undead touching and wielding a blessed weapon was changed. Perhaps neutralized by a curse or something. :shrug:

Its been a while since I had to worry about that.

I picked up someone's weapon off a shade like a week ago (it might have even been Gnomad's!) and it was cursed. I don't think anything actually casts curse in the bog, so maybe undead turns the bless into a curse. Kind of makes sense actually...
