The trick to these is figuring out all common concepts you can attribute to the number... and then applying those letters to the concepts you come up with

24 goes to hours in a day, 52 to cards in a deck, 50 states in the US...

Though some really common numbers require a bit of linguistic intelligence and a lot of logic... which I happen to be good with... I suck with math, art and women... so to each his own!
