I have a couple of friends who are playing the beta because you can actually play instruments.

They are spending their time following random people around and giving them a soundtrack.

That and Warhammer online look really good.

LotR: Meh. They made a subpar RTS. This will be a subpar MMO.

I've mostly given up on WoW at this point. I'm now waiting for Warhammer Online to come out.

Agreed. It killed it for me bigtime.

I'll probably check out the Conan and/or LOTR ones, at least to see if I'd like the graphics style. I had someone try to get me to play FFXI at one point but the graphics bugged me so much I bailed on him. At least with the LOTR/Conan ones I'd feel more immersed in the backstory.

I played the beta for a couple of weeks, but got really bored with it. It's just too bland and standard. Quests are boring, landscapes are bland, races and professions are uninteresting.
