Teeoncy was just Engaged to be married.. and I expect all of you to be there! there isnt a set date But i plan on paying for the full out God wedding.

But before I go to work, How do you all feel about getting married in gemstone? Or paying the money for a god wedding?

Have a nice night all

I pay for a premium account and nothing more, im debating dropping back to a standard account. I don't have anything against paying for things I just choose to allocate my money elsewhere.

11-18-2003, 07:29 PM
heh You sure you want The Edine there? The last wedding he went to he nearly imploded the entire thing because a few of the members in attendence tried to assassinate him

Ladyteeoncy
11-18-2003, 07:31 PM
Ha Ha atleast my guests wouldnt forget it eh? Besides Teeoncys guy is a good tackler.... No one will be assinating anyone... although for my wedding presant I could invite some people I hate and you could.... I mean...exactly!

I had two characters get married, one in a private small wedding and one in one of the cathedral packages.

Both were alot of fun. It really comes down to what you are looking for. Either way it can be tremendous fun so just go with what feels comfortable.

I want Teeoncy to settle down... This is the only guy She has actually liked for other then...

1) money
2) attention
3)social status
4) age

Yeah I can see a lot of bad comments directed at me for that one...But its a game hehe... Not like i could actually LOVE them!

Ladyteeoncy
11-18-2003, 07:39 PM

My 'paid for' wedding back in 97 was a blast. We had so many alters we gave one to our best man and one to the bridesmaid. It wasn't so expensive back then either.

Myrianna
11-18-2003, 10:04 PM
I'm getting a god wedding, or at least I was planning on getting one, for Myrianna. I promised myself one, when I first started playing a few years back, if any of my girls actually titled... Myr's my first. Just make sure you and your fiance have the same views on what the wedding will be like, attire, et cetera... Planning mine has been nothing short of hell.

Well... Being that we are both warriors... I dont want it to be too...frilly... And as for planning it out... I doubt he will care all too much although I will sit him down and make him help plan it out. He is a pretty laid back guy. Teeoncy always has wanted a god wedding and to me its worth the money. As long as he isnt going to skip out on me! I'll let him come forward and interduce himself if he is daring enough. I dont know if he would like to be associated with me :::grins:::

He's a cutie though.

I've never had the Cathedral wedding for any of my characters. I've been to a couple, though..one I was a maid of honor in and got an altered outfit..gown, shoes, tiara and a handbag..was pretty nice. Hope your wedding day is a good one, Teeoncy.

I missed everyone's wedding! Sheesh...I missed Leloo's and Syb's wedding, Whirlin and Michi's, Morelean and Mythala's...erm...well damn I've only been around for 10 months, LOL. That seems to be all the weddings I was invited too. I have to make it to Kniquee's and Drakam's wedding, seeing that they are the parents of one of my characters. Checking one of these functions out should be interesting. So right, how are these weddings? I'm sort of curious too :D

11-19-2003, 01:46 AM
I always thought in game weddings were a little..off. but whatever works for you.

Skirmisher
11-19-2003, 01:50 AM
Yeah! You missed my wedding too! :)

Its true about the cathedral weddings.

The planning is something you want to be on top of and be prepared to be flexible with the items you request. Thankfully my partner in crime was dilligent with all the items and made my headache signifigantly less.

I was suprised at what they had us change and at what was allowed. The GMs were very helpfull though Andraste and wolf were really nice. Heck I remember messing up twice in what we had planned and the GMs and GH;s came through like troopers helping us through it without anyone being the wiser even though I was having a breakdown heheh.

Maybe I'm too sleepy to be posting. At any rate.

Teeoncy. Congratulations. Please don't call it a god wedding. Thank you. :)

Because there are unlikely to be any of the arkati at your wedding. No Lornon, no Liabo, not even Neutral. There WILL be GMs and GH's...who are not gods.

It's a cathedral wedding, is what I think Latrinsorm meant.

I better be invited, Teeoncy!:P

Heh, ive been engaged for a LONG time... 8-10 months.. and we havn't even talked about the wedding yet.. Probably cause i was gone 6 of those months, and we havnt seen eachother much recently.. but hell.. Oh well. The ring i made her was expensive, so this way, she will wear it a long time and make it worth it! :D I will add the description when i get a new powersource for my comp... It fried, so im on the other one, which for some dumb reason, cant get on GS...

I don't know if you were talking to "everyone" on the boards, T, but my girl (and I'm sure a few others out there) would feel extremely uncomfortable if she was presented with an invitation to a wedding of someone she doesn't know from Adam.

I do hope you enjoy your GM wedding, though. Planning mine, to echo Myrianna, was sheer hell - marrying, or attempting to marry, someone who wants a crown with dangling tassles signifying noble things made getting the wedding list approved very difficult.

In short, design his wedding clothes for him.

paying to be married in game and having special verbs is foolish

but hey, you can lick without remorse and you have crappy alters, wowo party time

Chadj
11-19-2003, 07:45 PM
If you know how to make your alters, then they aren't crappy.. this is my first alter ever.. with the show and all. I want to have a cathedral weddin jus' so ise kin make more!

You see a bright silver engagement ring, which you are holding in your right hand. The ring is wrought from lustrous silver polished to a gleaming, flawless shine - its slender surface enhanced by the subtle texturing engraved upon it. Cerulean streaks are swept across the ring in spiralling bands, surrounding a single perfect blue diamond within its precise center.

First one ever.. anyways, what are all the details on the wedding? where, when, and how do i git my invitation!

You know, selling a shirt with tiny diamonds on it 1 million show how stupid gemstone's economy is..

Which is why decent people don't sell the things they make, they're personalized items that wouldn't ever sell. A few of my girl's things have her name, initials, or unique identifying factors on them that make them un-sellable.

Of course, sounds to me like someone who doesn't like alterations just has sour grapes about maybe not having any.

I stopped playing.

I had 115 levels with 2 characters, and maybe 1-2 alters. I prefer to had a better armor to have a style (which put you some useless weight)

Alters help personalize your character and help build well...character

I am not saying alters are everything though... Ive seen people dress plain, ragged, dumb, or wear nothing and have good character too. Its all how you Role play it!

As for when and how.... I am not too sure on the how... I am however, selling the invitations for 1 mill silvers!

alters make a character, so you're saying? if you don't, you're just like everyone, not personalized?

That's why gemstone is bad in the first place. Too much text. When EVERYONE has 30 ligns of UNIQUE description, it's time to simply say fuck off

SpunGirl
11-19-2003, 08:00 PM
My character has about 5 lockers full of clothing, some unique, some not.

She wears, at most, five lines of clothing per change.

Yes, her items are a part of her personality.

Sour, sour, sour grapes.
