Anyone know if wezas left a copy of his log parser anywhere? Would love to get my hands on it to sort through some logs.

It's here...Somewhere. I'll go digging.

Seems...

...is dead. I'll continue the search though with the zip file name.

Yea, sadly everything I can google relates back to that link. Only hope from here would be someone reposting it.

I searched for the zip file on google with no luck :(

You know how kool the person who would find/make one for stormfront would be? Yah I cant even comprehend how Kool the would be. Yah thats right kool is spelt with a k.

The Ponzzz
04-22-2007, 06:51 PM
Well with the old one, all you needed to do was change the log names.

Drisco
04-22-2007, 06:54 PM
You know if you found the old one... I would concider crowning you the new Kool with a K Poster. yah thats right

There was a major flaw that I'm pretty sure affected Wezas' program: if you used PsiNet or saw in whispers or anything the string "You reach into X and pull out Y" it would get picked up in the log and effectively be part of the data, which sucked when I tried it and it said I was stealing dildos from Tayre or some shit.

Drisco
04-22-2007, 06:57 PM
Bah has there been a new one or n e thing like it?

Bobmuhthol
04-22-2007, 07:00 PM
Any that are made are likely to have identical functionality and all be susceptible to the same flaw, unfortunately. I don't think anyone has picked it up, but it's really easy to write if you care that much. Kranar made virtually the same thing in BASIC (no GUI, obviously) quickly a few years ago.

Drisco

Bah that sucks. I guess no one gets the crown.

What's the verbage in all it's forms for stealing? IE success coins/items/from container/success but nothing to get, failure, can't pull because etc etc

It should be a simple reg ex... if I get bored and find some free time I'll put together something stupid/simple.

...and fixing the "flaw" bob pointed out can likely be handled by just saying only match if it's the first part of a line (uh, I guess people "reciting" it would be an issue, which you could account for...)

Bobmuhthol

PsiNet chats and thoughts are separate lines.

You could theoretically do it by making sure it's not enclosed in "".

Drisco
04-23-2007, 02:38 PM
Well then yah should do it up.

The Ponzzz

It's not so much it being hard, just a lot of work to set it up.

StrayRogue

I still have the program on my HD.

Celephais
04-23-2007, 02:51 PM
All this talk but not one person posted any success or failure messages for me...

and by beginning of a line I meant not enclosed in ""... as in the very first character of the line would have to start matching the RegEx, which I'm assuming begins with "You".

Tonights the first night in a while I have been able to set aside for some coding (and laundry), so if I don't get any examples, I won't be able to get at this for some time. If I can get some I can whip something up tonight .

(otherwise I keep working on my mapper... although I'm stuck on how to visualize retarded rooms like the one in cave gnomes where if you go up twice you end up at the same place as if you went east... or you went north and then southwest)

The Ponzzz

I can post some pulls

Celephais

I can post some pulls

Coin, Items, nothing on them.
If you could, some various failures as well.
Oh it would be awesome if you (or someone) had the various "traps" too... had an idea to have it give a weight to if a mark is good or not...

Thanks.

Out of curiosity, why would you want failure messages?

Bobmuhthol
04-23-2007, 04:33 PM
Future reference: don't steal from that dude again.

If you're going to log steal attempts, all of them should be logged.

Out of curiosity, why would you want failure messages?

If I parse out all attempts I could add a success rate column for each mark.

Right now I was thinking:

Mark | Success Rate | Pulled Value | Average |
Name | Attempts | Pulls | Failed | Caught | Trap | Total | Silver | Gems | Other | |
Tsin | 1024 | 957 (93%) | 58 (6%) | 7 (1%) | 2 (0%) | 700k | 288k (#746) | 328k (#264) | 84k (#14) | 731 |

Caution, next portion likely not to see the light of day:

I was actually thinking it'd be neat if I could let you choose a weight system too... everyone starts at zero and as you successfully steal from them they gain points, if you fail they lose a lot of points. Looking at your mark I could parse out the profession, and weigh points against that, and then the program could have a feature that generates a script that adds highlights of shades of green for high points, to shades of red for low points. And I would also let it parse out manual point adds/subtracts (You just type: "PointAdd <Name> #" ... the game would be like "What?" but the log could parse it.

You couldn't find anything worth taking. Maybe you should offer XXX a donation instead.

You reach into XXX's black longcoat and pull out some cactacae spine.

You reach into XXX's black longcoat and pull out a miniature emerald sphere

You reach into XXX's black longcoat and pull out an emerald.

You reach into XXX's pockets and pull out 152 silvers.

You reach into XXX's pockets and pull out 254 silvers.

XXX is guarding her pockets very closely. You cannot get close enough to even try.

You reach into XXX's spidersilk cloak and pull out an amethyst.

You reach into XXX's herb pouch and pull out some basal moss.

Got hit by a jaws trap and a needle the other day(bad day) but I dont have it logged unfortionately.

You notice XXX watching you warily out of the corner of his eyes.

How much more of a chance do you have to catch someone stealing if you are watching them?

Ishrianna brushes by Cylnthia, unusually closely. Suddenly, you hear a loud snap and a crunch of bones, and Ishrianna begins shrieking, staring at the end of her arm, where the hand used to be.

jaws trap messaging from 3rd person.

jaws trap messaging from 3rd person.

Apprecaited but not sure how much that'll help (I'll use it to search the forums at least). I've got one 2nd person (that'll teach em!) but nothing 1st...

And thanks both of you for the posts... broke ground on the prog, shouldn't take too long if I can stay focused on it (kinda busy but... we'll see)

<<How much more of a chance do you have to catch someone stealing if you are watching them?>>

I can't give you a quantitative answer here, but a lot. It makes you more vulnerable to other thieves, though, so you get a penalty against catching everyone except the person you're watching.

ROFL!

I was wondering if someone was gonna catch that and stick it here.

I hadn't a clue where to post my view of those little interactions, so I put them in the Bad Roleplaying Moments thread... maybe I'll drop the first-person view here.

ETA: Here ya go...

Ishrianna brushes against you, then shrieks loudly and withdraws a bloody stump from your black leather backsack. Must've found the jaws in there. That'll teach her!

I'd say that's more 2nd person :) need a log from Ishrianna's point of view.

We got a chart somewhere with gem values? I think i asked this before but... well the program doesn't need (you can set your own values) but if I set them now it'll at least save people a lot of trouble.

rift gems (http://www.zone9.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=134)

Mainland/teras gems (http://www.zone9.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=44)

Only listings I could find. Not sure how correct they are.

List of gems (http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/List_of_gems)
Might help with the gems, but has no values as of yet. You could fill in later I guess.

So my first crack at it is ready, only marks successes, but will tally a mark and allows you to assign values to any item looted. Basically no improvement over what Wezas had (I don't know exactly what he had but from my understanding it's about the same). I believe Wezas' application would require it rescan the log directory, this application will remember previous scans and will only scan new logs (or new additions to updated logs).

It's pretty basic still, but it serves the purpose, and I'm open to feature requests.

Good ole fashion zip with a setup file:
http://www.deadlylight.com/despoiler/despoiler.zip

(Edit: removed the install link, I messed something up there, the zip works if you run the DespoilerProj.application file instead of setup.exe, then it'll install to your start menu/program files/celephais/ oh and you can go to add/remove to remove it if you dont' like it.. when I get home I'll fix it... I really should have tested that)
