If you used eScape, you wouldn't be having this problem.

If you would shut the hell up..then....then...you wouldn't be talking much at all, now would you?!?!

Per Xygon's site..
Wizard Patch for newer versions 11/15/2003 10:01
Kinist's patch looks for a specific address and then changes the code. This, unfortunately, breaks version 2.04 of the Wizard. Read below for help in patching the current Wizard or download the patched version (I recommend editing if you feel comfortable, but it's up to you).
What you need is a hex editor. If you don't have one, Ultra-Edit works well, and will work for 45 days. The feature the editor needs is a find command.
Here's what you do:
Search for this string -
f8 83 79 0a ff 75 11 8b 55 f8 8b 42 06 05
The following four bytes are what you change
They should look similar to this: b8 00 00 00 (or maybe bf, b-something)
Change them to: e0 00 dd 14
Save, and play!
This is still Kinist's work, all I did is find what he changed in 2.03 and applied it to 2.04. Works great for me.

but i do have a work around...

yea even his posted one on the site doesnt work. anyway here is my work around for you people who need your scripts... you need to have an old version of wizard.exe like before the 2.04 version that was already patched. if you need it i have it.
this is pretty lame but it works.
open Gemstone and log in. once your logged in and the game is running...copy the old wizard.exe over the new 2.04 version. and you got a script timer free version. like i said kinda lame but it works.
oh and your gonna have to do this everytime the game opens. so if you ma do it after you have all your accounts running. if you close out you will have to do it again cause the wizard is gonna update it again.

This doesn't work for me.... Windows doesn't let you overwrite a file that is open.

works for me im using windows xp.. actually i forgot a step ::ducks::
ok start gs3 and log in. once its open rename wizard.exe to something else. such as wizard.bak then put the patched old version in its place...

made a install file to do the work for you. like i said its lame. and you have to run this every freakin time you start the wizard. i hope someone comes up with a better idea then this...
copy this file to the wizard.exe directory. Run this after wizard in running. this will rename the file and put a good working version in its place that has no timer...

I will try again. I *think* it had me update the wizard again once after I patched it but I'm not sure. I'll run the patch again and see.

If it doesn't, please give me your operation system and anything else you might think is relevant to the problem so I can relay it to the coder.

I have downloaded the patch. I either get Too many or too few patch points. It moves to fast for me to get a good look at it. I am using windows ME if that helps
Thanks

I think I know why time killer did not work. I initially downloaded the launcher with the ActiveX. And when I went in the game it updated an updated version. I deleted the launcher and wizard, and then reloaded them without the ActiveX. Everything is fine
