I installed a new video card in my PC tonight and now I get an error at boot-up.

"Floppy diskette seek failure" F1 to continue and F@ to go into set up. I also noticed after I installed the card, my PC time was totally out of whack.

I went into BIOS and took that drive out of the boot sequence, double checked the wiring, and swore a whole lot.

What am I missing that could be causing this?

Did you accidentally unseat your FDD cable or power?

Check the cables (IDE and power) to your drives. If that doesn't reveal it you can always disable the floppy seek in cmos via f2.

Yea, it APPEARS that something else got unplugged when you installed that.

I went in and double checked all the connections. They all appear to be snug and secure. I disabled the drive in cmos yesterday and am still having the same problem.

Running Windows XP...or Vista on your machine? You may have a compatibility issue.

Compatibility issues with the video card or the drive? The drive shouldn't be an issue because that was not changed. I run XP.
