I know certain flares have no effect on undead, regardless of the weapon being sancted for a cleric/paladin or bonded to a paladin. Cold comes to mind, but what about the wind flare on corasine? I'm asking because I'm thinking of saving up my premium points to get my corasine longsword bumped a few times, and bonding it to my Paladin for her 2nd weapon (seeing as how NO-ONE will sell me a perfect forge Katar at a reasonable price, or be bothered to forge one for me from steel). I just wanted to know if the air/wind flares had an effect on undead? The double strikes will obviously be quite useful, especially when Mstriking, bu that extra 'oomph' from the air flares would be nice to rely on as well.

Does anyone know?

Also, i was told there are THREE types of Corasine... oooooo didn't know that

I don't think anyone really knows.. They aren't normally blessable so it would take a paladin bonded to one in order to hit undead just to check the flares.. I'm not sure if there are any paladins that own so you might just have to test yourself.

Not that I'm an authority, but I don't see why they wouldn't.

Heh.. I guess I'm just going to have to keep training mmy 2 weapon swinger till she can cast 1625 herself, because there is NO WAY I'm going to break my other paladins long term bond with their axe just to test the longsword. (sigh)

Just use purify to test it... Been awhile since I owned one of the mid-style coraesine weapons but they flare fairly often if I remember correctly... Assuming your longsword is one of those, there are so many types of coraesine weapons it is a joke.
