Well, I wasn't really sure where to post this...
Are there any REALLY nice katars out there for sale? Also, does anyone have a list of the few "Top" katars out there?

Not Really nice. Mainly 6-7x with flares. White ora springs to mind. Nothing uber like the equivilents in OHE/2HW. Brawling are easily the most lacking weapon style in regards to super nice weapons.

I think thrown might have a bit of a bone to pick with you there.

Name the brawling equivilents of the endless bandoliers or returning weapons?

Any 4-5x flaring weapon, plus 54.7 million silvers.
edit: Give or take.

No not really. Thrown has a good amount of toys to support it. I can think of two brawling weapons that are over 20 million. Neither are valued over 50. Unlike the bandoliers or Thalior's sheath.
Besides thrown isn't exactly a weapon style persay, more a combat style. You still require, unless you're stupid, to train in OHE/Pole/Brawl/2HW to be able to use it properly.

There have been several decent auction-quality thrown weapons released in the past few festivals...I think there was that +37 Discus (some other properties I can't remember)..and quite a few others.
I think the best Katar that plat has is a 6x blessable...and one Iasha one.

I think Gob has a 6x perfect acid flaring katar...besides that
Hakkone is in possession of the greater white ora katar
Stay is right about the white ora katars being one of the best off the shelf ones....hell in general actually.

I don't know what Thalior's sheath does, but all the bandoliers do is allow you to use thrown weapons like you would any other kind of weapon, albeit with more commands.
edit: So while they're priced pretty high, their utility is negligible from a purely utilitarian standpoint.

Wasn't there a throwing net with entanglement flares sold a few months ago?
Katars do seem a bit weak.

Throwing nets are pretty laughable, damage wise.

The katar was recently sold. And as a brawler/hurler, I offer the opinion that I've had hurled weaponry that far outshone my brawling weaponry.
Personally, I'd love to have a 5-6x hcw pair of katars. Hell, even heavily damage weighted would be damn fine.

Unless you're a giant. In which case it blows.

Thrown WINS invasions. Nothing like a level 110 creature with a 640 DS, a 500 TD and a 60 to ranged weapons.

Brawling doesn't get voln fu unless you are voln. Fu, like thrown is a combat style, not a weapon style.
The newstyle nets with entanglement are pretty sweet. As are the chakram, discus etc.
Only the gauntlet (which is pretty sucky, to be honest) could come close to matching their value.

Yea sadly, the katar is the end all brawling weapon. I mean until unarmed combat, who the fuck is using a cestus?
What they need to do is allow WORN brawling weapons such as razorpaws, paingrips, cestus and knuckle-dusters to change closed fist DF/AvD and add enchanted bonus.
