Just curious if any of you have had the misfortune of having to take this god damn test. I've taken it once and did pretty crummy so I gotta retake it in 15 days. Just curious.

To elaborate a bit... it's seven and a half hours of testing (9 hours if you include the breaks and stalls). The content consists of Physical Science (physics, applied calculus, general chemistry), Verbal Reasoning (passages with ambiguous follow-up questions), 2 30 minute writing samples (on random topics), and Biological Science (biology, anatomy, embryology, some comparative anatomy, and some organic chemistry). It's hell.

But you can study for the MCAT.
The LSAT is harder...

You can't really study for the MCAT though... it's so application-based. The best thing to do for it is just take a few timed practice tests. You can learn some formulas for the physics and chemistry portions, but verbal and biology are almost impossible for which to study.

Heh. Poor you. I was heading down that path, but a year of Chem 181/182 convinced me otherwise, because I hate chemistry with a passion. There's absolutely no way I'm taking orgo next year, screw medicine, I'm going into economics.

Heh. Organic was a LOT different from the chemistry you probably know. It really wasn't that bad... I'm not a big chemistry fan myself, but I do enjoy biochem.
