I have to really take a step back and thank a few people for some great RP lately.

Where do I start?!

Lanielle you have involved Telsas in a great plot. Thanks bunches! I have no clue why or how or even what the hell to do, but Thanks bunches and great work.

Linthral . . . a few times in the past has encountered Telsas and debated with intelligence. The last meeting of minds was wonderful and the set up for the stage to be played out with the Palestra has me looking forward to each new turn.

People of the Moonshine Manor. . .
OYI Thanks for letting me drag you in and pushing me out. I never know what is going to happen but I am finding that no matter what it is, It is worth going back for more.

People of the Garden Niche. . .
YOU Know who you are!! Mostly, always willing to listen to her ramblings and help out with spells and give Telsas the support she needed when she could not ask for it.

Liannonuel, I am going to throw you in to for the heck of it. Your ego is big enough that I find it more fun not telling you or anyone else reading this why.

Marclar and his bride. . . Oh my!! That really was . . . fun and threw Telsas for a big loop, Thanks.

I could probably go on with a bunch of names and situations, but I think some things are just best left unsaid.

Thanks again to one and all from a new addict to GS.
One year ends the newbie title right? Getting close !!

Liannonuel roleplays? Glad at least someone gets that from him.

SEND[Andraste] One... let's not share OOC information as a reason for PvP, and two, let's stay out of conflicts that didn't just start with you, thanks :-)

[Crimson Crocus Table]
Three bright blue bowls on the table contrast sharply with the crimson crocuses blooming in them. The combination of the thick, light green leaves and red blossoms against the ceramic pottery is very eye-catching. You also see a plain monir strongbox, the Abysso disk, the Meril disk, the Berkana disk, a plain fel strongbox, a dented brass strongbox, a scratched monir box, a badly damaged fel chest, an enruned brass coffer, a sturdy iron chest, an enruned brass trunk, a metal wand, a twisted wand, a pale thanot wand, a metal wand, a silver wand, a polished bloodwood wand, a smooth bone wand, a slender blue wand, a twisted wand, a pale thanot wand, an iron-bound fel chest, a sturdy haon box, a simple tanik strongbox, an engraved iron box, a plain tanik strongbox, an enruned tanik strongbox, a moth-eaten hide pack, a weathered haon trunk, an iron-bound haon chest, a badly damaged silver box, a scratched iron strongbox, a rose-marrow potion, a rose-marrow potion, a heavy quartz orb, an engraved iron chest, a rotting fel chest, a simple monir trunk and an engraved mithril strongbox.
Also here: Liannonuel, Great Lord Virdigo, Abysso, Meril, Great Lady Berkana, Lord Edible

Liannonuel/Jamus apparently uses Berkana/Andraste GM powers, and is part of Jamus MA army.

Composer's little army is Jamus's?

Still...kind of an interesting connection. I wouldn't say that necessarily means that Jamus uses Andraste...but it's bad form to be riding herd over the PVP conflicts of friends.

The person said that he was played by two folks...Jamus being one and Colosie? being the other.

The more interesting thing was seeing Andraste watching over his PVP conflicts and then hanging out with him...whoever he is.

I don't know where most of this Liannonuel/Jamus/Andraste/Composer stuff is coming from, but if I had any doubts as to Ghrim's credibility they've definitely been clarified.

He is a fucking loon.

I do MA. I have a level 15 cleric and a level 27 wizard named Cancel.

I am not Lian and in fact I think I've killed him (and been killed by him) a few times over god knows what. I'm certainly not Andraste, who pulls me regularly to chastise me over whatever, and I don't have any influence over her either.

You people are high.

Not that I agree with it, but can't Jamus look up IPs via PSinet?

Considering that I'm apparently supposed to be you, I'm not sure my vouching for you would get the response you're thinking.

Not that any of this makes sense anyway.

On a related note, as I read more, I have it on fairly good authority that contrary to rumor, Berkana is not Andraste anyway. The whole story is pulled out of someone's ass.

Reminds me of Keraa and her tendency to assert that everyone that doesn't like her must be the same single person, and that therefore I am also Toy, Thaisis, and Talantris, among some dozen others.

I can at least put a character to my name - Valindel. You put up a source as supposed evidence, I tore it down. If you cannot defend what you put up, just try to turn around the attack, right?

He doesn't have to be 'begging' for people to believe anything - but shitty testimony by a supposed person (who as of yet, is of questionable origin) without any supporting evidence is rather suspect, no?

As I said...her being Liannonuel's friend and dealing with his PVP was the only thing that I took serious issue with. That was the only credibly problematic thing Grhim stumbled over.

The rest is just amusing.

Tell her to have the decency to at least put herself to her statement, or to provide evidence as to the reality of it. If she even signs herself to the statement, it's something. If she does neither, it's worthless - where it stands now.

She wants to make unbased attacks on other people, yet won't even sign herself to her own words? I'm thinking of a word to describe that, can you guess what it is? ;)

Just because she won't out herself doesn't make the statement "unbased" technically. It doesn't make it based either, per-se. Just sayin. You all keep trying to put your own spin on things. It's cute.

It's unbased because it's unsupported, nor validated. No name, no evidence, nothing. Just 'someones' testimony (who shall of course, remain handle-less - this is the internet after all) that something occured. Unbased may be a bit strong a word, as it hasn't been disproven, but there's zero reason to believe it is true. How can you disprove someone who won't even say who they are?

EDIT: I'm done here. It's obvious that warriorbird is unable to support what he/she posts, nor does it seem to even be within his/her abilities to form a coherent argument :).

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAaaaaaaa1111!!!!

Best line of bullshit ever. Andraste has always shown bias and has always involved herself in things that do not concern her. You fuck with one of her pets or one of her characters and she will send you a nice tell. If a roleplay is not going her way, she will send you a tell, telling you to knock it off.

Wow there is so much garbage here since I posted that.

I don't think it is right for a GM to be using their GM powers to referee a conflict WHILE on their PC. I really think they shouldn't be listening to whispers in the first place, but while on their PC?

Then after Liannonnueal or whatever his name is comes into the gemshop, and spits on me. I of course use a locate scroll and see him sitting there with Berkana and all of his other characters!

I may not have known who liannonnueal was exactly, since I was just taking another friends word for it, BUT Berkana was there in both situations, and on the first she actually walked in later before reprimanding Makkah.

Andraste, according to Dio Cassius, was a Celtic goddess thanked by Boudica while fighting against the Roman occupation of Britain in AD 61. She is mentioned only once. She may be the same as Andante, mentioned later by the same source, and described as 'their name for Victory', i.e. the Goddess Victoria.

Basically GM's are allowed/encoured to answer reports, and listen to whispers or ANYTHING of people they're in the room with.

So pretty much if someone you know is a GM is on their PC be careful because they're definetely listening to you.

I'm not totally familiar with the situation, but I've never seen Andraste show any kind of bias in doing her job. If she got involved, they probably deserved it. I know I always have.

LOL 99% of the things Andraste gets involved in are things she has no business sticking her nose into (and usually things that would have resolved on their own which she ends up making worse half the time).

I figured that would be common knowledge to just about anyone by now after all these years.

I dunno, I wasn't there and all but what struck me as whiney and paranoid was that here we have this CvC/PvP conflict and the guy that gets killed wants to assist over what the alledged GM's PC is doing. Interesting anyway. And please.. give her a break, she nearly webbed HERSELF.. truly classic and SO Berkana LOL.

I'd never thought anything like this of Andraste before now, Jolivette, but after I posted what I did...I get more and more strange examples through IMs. Her being in the room and running interference for a close friend's PVP is real suspect. The failed attempt at helping him PVP isn't really cute, either. I hope that for her sake she reevaluates some things.

Given your own longtime association with her, Jolivette, it is probably sort of hard to see this sort of thing.

I do know too, that because she is one of the more outspoken and colorful GMs, there has always been a lot of negative attention directed to her and as such, seems her every move is scrutinized. You'd think she would know better?

Another thought on the subject, Why can't a GM have a character involved in PvP? If you play a jerk, well your a jerk. If that jerk PvP's and whoops someone's arse, do you complain to the GMs? It's really fucking despicable, in my eyes, for a GM (someone charged with keeping the peace, being level-heaed, non-bias etc etc) to use their powers to actively stop any conflict that they themselves are involved in or becoming involved in.

I couldn't give a shit if Andraste (who is Berkana), RP's with Lian. Nor could I give a shit that she hunts or joins him in PvP. What pisses me off, and what is downright shoddy of her, is the fact that she tried to prevent others becoming involved on Grhim's part. I imagine Lian got no such message about stopping the conflict.

It stinks of Andraste backing up her friend. There are other example's where she's stuck her nose into buisness throwing the policy word around like a club, and basically soured someone elses day. But this is just trashy.

She should have gotten someone else to tell Rhett to backoff, in the least.

Not an actual warning you cock. If you begin a conflict, why shouldn't one of Grhim's "friends" help protect him. Instead Andraste tell's him to back off. To any rationaly person this would sound like she wants NO conflict to begin. Instead it just makes it look like she doesn't want anyone (older) to interfer.

Heck, it was totally OOC that whisper anyway. It's little different from Rhett IMing Grhim and telling him to fuck your character up. Why she "intervened" is just unfounded.

I'm still confused. Lian never attacked Grhim until Grhim ambushed him a second time. So why would that give Grhim's friends the 'right' to help? Not that I'm saying he has any that were willing, heh.

Here in the midst of the town stretches the cobblestoned main bazaar, its serpentine lanes abuzz with traders bartering, bickering, and hawking their wares. The freewheeling vendors in the bazaar provide a lively alternative to the somewhat stodgier merchants whose shops border the square. The gilded but peeling stone facade of the First Elanith Bank dominates this side of the square.

[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end of the space, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see some wolifrew lichen, a moldy bone, a short sword, a large acorn, a large acorn and some stone benches with some stuff on it.
Also here: Rezere, Lord Pinquil, Dalran who is lying down, Meggles who is kneeling
Obvious paths: northeast, east, southeast, southwest, west, northwest
[Town Square, East]
Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous and bustling shops. You also see a grizzled old warrior and a large wooden barrel.

As far as Andraste is concerned, this doesn't surprise me. She's known to butt in where she's not wanted/needed. She uses policy as her crutch to put her nose where it doesn't belong.

She's been nothing but nice to me in game, and has helped out my girls in a couple of bad situations, so I have nothing bad to say about her. I'd like to hear the entire story myself.

I understand why she wouldn't want to post here, seeing as most things just get attacked.

I'm also glad the thread was splintered, that roleplaying thread was for positive things, not stuff like this.

Nah. I get sends all the time from GMs telling me to butt out of other people's conflicts. They HAVE gotten more proactive in trying to keep it from escalating to additional people, probably because it's that much more difficult to sort out the wreckage when it eventually ends up in a consultation room.

And it's NOT just Andraste that will tell you to keep out of situations that don't involve you. I've gotten the same types of gentle warnings from her, Khaladon, Talisker, and I think Zyllah.

Andraste, in my experience, really hates when the conflict spreads to friends of the initially involved. But rather than just putting a stop to it, she tends to use SENDs to the extras, and allow the original combatants to go about their business.

Warded off!
Berkana avoids the webbing.

118 will not autotarget with incant. In fact, it won't even go off:

>prep 118
You utter a light chant and raise your hands, beckoning the lesser spirits to aid you with the Web spell...
Your spell is ready.
>incant
You already have a different spell readied! You must RELEASE it if you wish to cast another!
>

She obviously did not cast at anyone, from the gesture line, and it's utterly impossible to say what she intended on casting, since she seemed to be more or less an observer. She also didn't prep right before (which you would expect in our days of 0 prep time) so it's exceedingly likely that she simply had it prepped before.

It could have been 109, it could have been 410, or it could have been ANYTHING:

>prep 101
cast
You already have a spell readied! You must RELEASE it if you wish to prepare another!
>You gesture.
Strands of webbing shoot forth towards you.
CS: +319 - TD: +203 + CvA: +12 + d100: +58 - -5 == +191
Warding failed!
You are firmly webbed in place.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
>

In addition, I don't see that she did ANYTHING wrong. She may have been more aware of the situation because her pc was there (personally, I'm STILL not sure it's actually her), but I don't see anywhere where she actually abused her power or did anything that she wouldn't have done in the course of her normal duties- provided her attention had been present.

If she is Berkana, she should have avoided this drama by asking another GM to handle it. But then, wouldn't you be complaining that the GMs were showing favoritism towards their compatriot?

She tried to defuse the situation as she's done with countless other conflicts in the course of doing her job. Personally, it irritates the fuck out of me when she does it to me, because I'd rather deal with it myself. But I can't see that she's doing anything special in this case.

Other than just being there as her PC, supposedly. I wouldn't strip her of that right, and I wouldn't strip her of her anonymity either. This whole thread is a shame.

As it stands, unless someone posts that it is offensive (and sometimes not even then) it tends to get overlooked.

Stop! in the name of love
Before you break my heart

Baby, baby
Im aware of where you go
Each time you leave my door
I watch you walk down the street
Knowing your other love youll meet
But this time before you run to her
Leaving me alone and hurt
(think it over) after Ive been good to you ?
(think it over) after Ive been sweet to you ?

Stop! in the name of love
Before you break my heart
Stop! in the name of love
Before you break my heart
Think it over
Think it over

Ive known of your
Your secluded nights
Ive even seen her
Maybe once or twice
But is her sweet expression
Worth more than my love and affection ?
But this time before you leave my arms
And rush of to her charms
(think it over) havent I been good to you ?
(think it over) havent I been sweet to you ?

Stop! in the name of love
Before you break my heart
Stop! in the name of love
Before you break my heart
Think it over
Think it over

Ive tried so hard, hard to be patient
Hoping youd stop this infatuation
But each time you are together
Im so afraid Ill be losing you forever

Stop! in the name of love
Before you break my heart
Stop! in the name of love
Before you break my heart
Stop! in the name of love
Before you break my heart

Baby, think it over
Think it over, baby
Ooh, think it over baby...

That's correct, the original thread is here:

As you can clearly see, that thread is drastically different from this one, and so it was split.

I know this explanation won't make happy those people who are always trying to hunt for flaws, corruption, and conspiracies involving the PC staff, but unfortunately that's all there is to this.

I'll never get why people find it impossible to use the report function when it comes to posts.

Report and wait. You can check to see if any mods are on, but that doesn't mean they're at the keyboard every second of the day just waiting to do something that is completely voluntary.

Report, wait, pm ... IM if you know the person or if they have it displayed. Things do not happen instantly.

At that point it's up to the mods .... reporting does not mean it gets edited, deleted, split .. anything.

Though it falls under the dishonor by association, the scope of it is argued despite the fallacy.

:wtf: What the fuck is all this? Someone gets a good word in and the rest turns into nothing but high school drama. I left text games for graphic games for this very reason. I avoided GS for YEARS, even though I knew it would most likely rekindle addiction I lost when I left Dragon Realms. Well hell, I moved out to the sticks and my choice for gaming is limited. However, I have enjoyed the whole experience up till this damned post.

So here are my few comments for you to trash and tear apart:

1. Who gives a fuck who is playing who ?! ITS CALLED A ROLE-PLAYING GAME.

2. Let the GM Bosses deal with the GM's, you don't like how something is being handled, write up your complaint with facts, (FACTS not your truths) and submit it.

3. Please remember there is actually someone on the other side of this screen who isn't always hard shelled and might get upset at what is being said. It is easy to say cruel things when you don't see the effect it has on a person in reality, try and keep it to game and not to so much real life.

4. Just cause these boards are designed so you're free to express yourself without censorship doesn't give you a right to be a asshole.

OK, done. Getting off my soap box, have at it.

I can only hope that you're joking, Tabor.

That movie is outright laughable in its portrayal of African-Americans, not to mention the way it manipulates history to suit a particular view. The cinematography was brilliant for its day, yes, but that in no way excuses a blatant racist agenda that seems to revel in its own absurdity.

OK I was a little drunk when I posted my rant.
I should have used the report rather than the quote and should have realised that Tabor is considered a prick by everyone so there was no doubt his racist comments would get deleted.

I guess I was still influenced by the previous spate of racist comments in another thread which were OK to be posted because they were "funny". That is still BS in my eyes.

And for me it isnt that I'm scared of seeing offensive comments. The whole attraction of these boards for me was that people were able to express themselves pretty freely, but with there being some standards to what people can and cant post...guidelines that you yourself drew up Kranar...so it's no good you saying "if you cant stand seeing offensive things, go somewhere else" because what you are effectively saying is "If you cant stand reading things that I have decreed should not be posted on these boards anyway..."

Of course I was joking -- I didn't find the film overly racist as many people have, though. It sparked a lot of riots back in the 1920's, though -- rightfully so, I suppose. One can't expect someone in that time era to have the same progressive 'enlightenment' about race that we do today.

There was a scene in it, however, that was heavily edited. Where Gus, the 'main' black character chases a girl through the woods and backs her up to a cliff. In the book, he rapes her. In the movie, she tells him to "STAY BACK OR I'LL JUMP". Terrified by the thought of being raped and fondled by a black man, she jumps.

I quoted the wrong dipshit. Conan said it, not you.

And why should I have received a warning.. didn't do shit to warrant it.

:chuckles: Well, properly, I'd have assisted after you did a little driveby on my character and vanished...a character you'd gotten no consent from or even roleplayed with. That's pretty much your standard MO from what I hear, however. Sean detailed the covering for...which is far more problematic. Kinda funny that you can scare people into posting in your defense as well as asking for you not to get reported. Kinda like the GS equivalent of battered woman syndrome. Ridiculous.
