SkyWest Airlines has apologized to a passenger barred from a plane's restroom by a flight attendant.

James Whipple says that after repeated pleas to empty his beer-filled bladder on a recent flight, he finally found relief - with an air sickness bag.
Now, the Sandy man says SkyWest has issued him an apology for his distress.

"It was like I had no choice. I started to urinate on myself. So, thinking the way I thought, I grabbed one of those vomit bags," Whipple said.

This was definately good for a chuckle. And at the same time underlines the need for more consistent customer service by the airline industry.

I like all the comments about how it was a one hour flight so it's the guy's fault for having to piss, especially with a BAC of .08. A one hour flight is nowhere near a 60 minute window between walking past a bathroom in the departure city's airport and reaching one in the destination city's airport.

If it was between me peeing myself, or forcibly making my way to the bathroom, you best believe there would be stewardesses and effeminate men a-flying as I made my way to the pisser. Especially if I was liquored up.

In all honesty, the guy played it smart, even if he was 'intoxicated'. He didnt assault anyone. He did not act like a drunk idiot. He didnt even expose himself to anyone.

The police had no choice but to let him go.

He should sue.

He should sue.

I'd represent him. He's got at least 10-15k in settlement value at the least.

The American way... hire a scummy lawyer and sue. Go get his back, Keller.

I have a better use:

My ex (of four years) dicked me over, so I gave back all the stuff that meant anything to us in an airline sick bag. Threw it at her, and walked away. It was rather... much, but it got the point across quite succintly.

In all seriousness, if he was under so much distress with his bladder to begin with, why in the hell would he toss down yet another drink after being told that the restroom on the plane was out of order?

He wasn't to begin with. He had already used the bathroom on the plane prior to it becoming airborne.

40% of 10k = 4k for an honest days work. I'll take it.
