Archery Bard?

With the free fixskills coming up, I was trying to decide if I should just go sword and board, or archery with my bard. I am assuming you can sing up a bow, so I am not worried about that. I am concerned about feasability. He obviously will not be a hider. He has decent stats for an archer. I have him as a thrower now, but that is not working out very well, and too expensive to sing up new weapons every time. Any suggestions?

BTW: He is only 8 trains, but he is adept in a few instruments and really do not want to start over. Not at home, so can't post stats until later tonight.

You cannot sing a bow. And using archery with a bard is fairly hard on TPs. It can be done, but its not the easiest path. The only reason I have considered it is because I tend to have a locker of slaves that could help me with it.

As a bard you are better off in a solo situation, using sword and board, or polearms or something more main stream.

Unless you're nickname is Sisyphus, I'd recommend polearm or ohe/shield.

sword and board is decent, you'll always have lots of DS. i suggest Shield/Voln fu, that way, you can utilize voln fu against undead, and then a sonic weapon against living, eventually hasted.

If you can't sing a bow, how come Archales has his sonic scorpion? I could be wrong, but I was pretty sure that a scorpion is a modified crossbow?

Not really so much better . . . just different.

Poles have more offensive force, s/b more defensive. Go with what you like.
