I can't remember if I've said this here before, but I currently work for a school district maintaining the computers and networks for 2 elementary schools.
So one of the teachers just came in my office and asked why her desktop shortcut kept being changed to her password for the application that it's for. She kept asking questions that lead me to suspect that she believes a specific person is changing the name of her desktop icon to her password to mess with her. I told her what's most likely happening is that she's changing the name of it when she's typing in her password for the program and not noticing. She said that last time this happened, she changed the name of it to "Do not mess with me" in hopes that she'd figure out of someone was messing with her or not.
So I tell her to just change it back. Out of curiosity I look on her desktop remotely and see that she's changed it to "who are you". Now obviously this is a perfect opportunity to mess with her by changing it to something clever. Like finding out the name of her dead father or something and changing it to that.
My question is, do I go forth with this easy opportunity for a joke? Or do I just let the paranoid teacher be.
