Runestaff enchantment bonus

Just wanted to first and foremost thank everyone who has been so helpful in getting me back into the game after an 8 year hiatus. You've all been great and I really appreciate it!

My next question is when you have say a 4x Runestaff. Is that +20 added to your offensive stance? someone told me that it's the base enchantment for defensive + bonuses based on training skills in other stances. Is this true? Any clarification would be terrific. Thanks!

Weapons get 1/5 of enchant in stance off, but I'm pretty sure that you get the THW 50% bonus, so 3/10 enchant. In this case, 6 DS. Skills are irrelevant, enchant's contribution to DS only depends on enchant, stance, and weapon type.

For some reason 6 sounds high to me, but I would feel comfortable being on record saying no higher than 6 for a 4x runestaff in stance o.
