Latrin is our resident warrior guru, I'll let him chime in.
Although if he wants to give me advice on a human mutie (THW/Archery build) I'd love to hear it. He's floundering around level 30.

In regard to the guild training. Master tricks first. Feint is much more useful than any of the other abilities with the possible exception of berserk.
Your training path is fine. Pretty much warrior standard for a two-handed (poles in your case) build.
Im a big proponent that you can hunt a warrior all the way to the top spelless (Katryn's currently at 78 so its a theory in progress). However, you may wish to invest in some MIU or scrolls or share if you arent quite as masochistic. My build is very similar to yours except that I do two handers instead, single FA, survival and disarm.
Speaking of that, youll really get a lot mileage out of survival and first aid singled. Once you get into plate you should get mad points freeing up from those triples in armor unconverting. Those skills will make adventurer guilding a lot easier and make you some good money as well.

Yeah, Im almost into MBP(80 ranks right?) which should be more than enough until im much higher in levels so that should free up some points. I wasnt sure where to put the extra points though. I thought about disarm but without BB that is kind of pointless for now. Can probably add a good deal of FA and survival which would be cool. Ill probably pick up a little scroll reading so that i can try and buff myself. I dont MA so im generally working on my own or asking friends for buffs. Its not that I really need em it just makes it easier to go out and not worry about getting boiled or anything(hunting a lot of wights atm).
Tricks is worth trying to master first? I generally dont have trouble tackling anything or getting myself out of trouble with berserk as the ranks are now. I guess having feint would be worth getting since the other two are already effective.

If you find yourself walled, you can unlearn some of your guild ranks (1 time thing? I forget) in order to retrain in other skills.
I mastered tricks first, then tackle, and I don't regret it.

Right MBP is 80. Youll do well in that for a while.
You dont need to master batter for it to work for you, it just takes longer. Which, while youre unfrying anyway is kind of a small loss. Id certainly forego disarming/bashing in favor of skinning though.
Probably a good idea on the scroll reading. Ive been picking up a few ranks of MIU here and there so I can get some disarm enhancement imbeds myself.

:\ I think ill suffer with my current skills until I have points to train in other things, Id rather not go through those 60 ranks again

<<I think ill suffer with my current skills until I have points to train in other things, Id rather not go through those 60 ranks again>>
You choose how many ranks to unlearn and in which skills, it's not a reset.

yeah I wouldnt mind having the scroll reading even just for the smaller spells, 101, 103, 107, 202, whatever strength is, disk, theurfels, elementals... Can pretty much be self sufficient with 10-15 ranks.
Plus I have a sorc that can unlock the scrolls if I ever figure out how :)

GLD ABANDON, and yes, you can only use it once.
>gld abandon
You have already used your one-time guild rank abandonment option.

Training plan looks fine.
Not getting feint and berserk is like not getting plate armor. You could do it, but why? A knockdown is also important, sure, and there is the wall, but feint is just such a good maneuver and tricks are so easy to train.
Im a big proponent that you can hunt a warrior all the way to the top spelless It honestly baffles me that people think otherwise.
He's floundering around level 30.How does that make you feel? ;)
What do you mean by "floundering"? I'm not sure what the design intent behind your plan is, but you could always just lean on the THW side for awhile. Personally, I wouldn't bother with ranged at all, ever, but presumably you have some reason for indulging in it.

Can anyone tell me when I should start getting redux and if there is a calculator out there for it? Didnt Xygon or someone have one?

should have it by 18-20 if your trying for it, or at least 24 even if just 2xing base skills I would think

Your character should already have redux, but not a whole heck of a lot.
Xygon's site has (or had) two calculators. The main page uses the old DFRedux model, which is no longer accurate. After I had a conversation with him about this subject, he put another calculator somewhere on there that uses the new model, but I don't know where it is.
If you're interested in getting a bead on your redux value, there's a basic strategy:
1) Absolutely do not use damage padded armor or damage weighted weapons. It's not possible to get an accurate redux reading with this. (For this reason, avoid creatures by and large.)
2) Due to the way the numerics of it works, low-damage hits have a very large range of possible redux factor values. For this reason, try to get as high damage as possible. I recommend getting a PC to chop a leg off.
3) If you can't find Xygon's other calculator and don't feel like learning how to do the math yourself, just post here or on the official boards and someone will do it for you.
If you do want to learn, I'll be happy to repost my explanation.

heh No ranks in berserk and maybe 10 in tricks so no feint and I have never had an issue with it, course when I got alot of my training in the guild berserk training was alot like a slow suicide, or not that slow. Older version fighter I had was one of the first few tricks masters, not gonna do all that silliness again.

Like I said, neither feint nor berserk are necessary to make a viable character. Like plate armor, though, they provide such a marked benefit (at such a minimal cost) that it doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense not to get them. Feint can to some extent be replaced by a combination of CMANs such as headbutt or dirtkick, but tricks training is essentially free so again it's hard to make the case against feint.

whats the difference between something like feint and tackle? both put the mob into a roundtime and one also puts them on their back. Just wondering what the advantage is to having feint.

Feint lowers stance. Amazing for turtled opponents.
I have a feinting THW empath who rocks.

Tackle prones the target, puts it into roundtime, and does a negligible amount of health damage. It takes 7 seconds.
Feint forces stance towards offensive and puts the monster in up to 8 seconds of refreshable RT. It only takes 3 seconds. Most creatures do not have rounds near 3 seconds. This means that even if you flub it (negative open roll) you can have another go or retreat or whatever.
I consider both a knockdown and a disabler maneuver irreducible components of a warrior's arsenal.

yeah, i forgot that feint changed stance as well. I've been using tackle when I see a mob prep a spell and can definately find a use for feint, ill have to start working on that one.
Is there any way to speed up the process of getting the floors in the guild dirtier so I can clean them sooner or am i missing some rooms somewhere. Think my task was for 8 and found 5 rooms to clean.
Bobmuhthol

There are only 5 rooms, you either have to wait the 10-15 minutes or go to another town.
