Hmm, really. Thought I offered a trade with you for my 9x masterfull golvern plate armor that is lightened to 33 pounds. Perhaps I'm mistaken?

Why in God's name would you want to make that trade?

that plate > that hauberk

I'd have to disagree.. For plate there is at least 10 sets of exceptional crit, 7 sets of masterful crit, and one maybe two sets of incred crit... High end hauberk is extremely rare and there is maybe one or two exceptional crit sets and only two sets of masterful crit, a 4x set some ranger owns and this 10x set..

true, but more people use plate then hauberk, 70+ trains atleast

That plate is still way better.

it being golvern makes it more desirable too

Wouldn't expect him to agree that My plate is equal to his hauberk would you?

I'd rather be in 10x MBP than that hauberk. But thats me. That plate is far superior.

Who the fuck cares if there are no other sets around. There's probably a reason for that.

That's like saying your 10x awesomely critted light leather is better.

I'm not saying it's better protection, just that it's worth more because it is harder to find amazing hauberk.. I agree plate is probably better for the majority of squares who don't cast spells because they are still too young to learn them.. But since i'm fully singled in spells with tons of mana, the slightly better protection just isn't worth not being able to cast 117 or 435.

You aren't 99% of the rest of the population. A sensible person would choose plate over hauberk anyday.

slightly better protection? haha

Geeze Tsin...I had to re-read that just to make sure you said it.

"SLIGHTLY better"?

Dude.. there's hype to improve sales potential, and then theres just plain horse-shit. I would think anyone likely to be able to afford and actually USE your hauberk, is MUCH more likely to want Plate anyways.

I have a feeling its rarity isn't a real selling 'plus', and is more likely due to folks simply not interested in wanting to invest that much effort and cost into making Hauberk quite that 'Uber'.

I can't help but giggle thinking about how your Hauberk isn't any better protection then my 10x heavily padded 15lbs Rolaren & Iorake full plate (with more scripts and actions then I feel willing to list), a fantastic/unique alter... and it cost me less then 10 mill to make

:P

Hell, plain unpadded plate is better than that armour. Woe to anyone stupid enough to buy it.

true and true, but some jackass will buy it, and that's all that matters

I would just like to point out that we should all just take a moment to roll around laughing a bit about Tsin getting served by a girl. Zing! :tool:

<< Rolaren & Iorake full plate >>

They let you keep Iorake after an alter? I thought that was one that had to be changed if they got their hands on it.

Or was it an old alteration? Either way, nice.

I've had it for ages, and thankfully staff isn't big on 'fixing' any of my items when they end up outside the rules. While I admit, some rules get made for a reason, some are just stupid, or SO after the fact that its just pointless. I'm guessing I get leeway on my various gear because its 'mine', as in I'm never going to sell it, don't loan it out, and have never abused it by swapping it to a 'kid' of mine just because they got old enough to hold or wear something.

What I wouldn't do to see the REALLY nice equipment out there lose some specs every time it gets sold or traded off :) Obviously there isnt any way to do that effectively... but I would laugh so hard I would probaby pee myself if Tsin were exchanging the Energy Bow Gauntlet and it turned to sand mid-trade and blew away in the wind [cackle]
