No, really, have another, or two.....oh heck, make it three for the road.

French Wine Industry Advocates Drinking And Driving <-----Click me (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=518&ncid=732&e=2&u=/ap/20031115/ap_on_re_eu/france_wine_and_driving)

Dude, frogs don't have to drink, they absorb it through their skin... so technically... it's not really drinking and driving.

Me so funny.

11-15-2003, 11:15 AM
Have I ever told you what i think of the french? ::smirks::

GSLeloo
11-15-2003, 11:18 AM
i like France... it was very pretty.

11-15-2003, 11:22 AM
But it would look so much better as a nucular waste land

Betheny
11-15-2003, 11:23 AM
So was Nagasaki...

I'll shut up now...

GSLeloo
11-15-2003, 11:25 AM
Yeah, Nagasaki is something Americans should be proud of... I mean, all the racial assholes should be proud of nuking two cities. Good job with that one.

Betheny
11-15-2003, 11:32 AM
Boo-ya.

Take a joke, or leave it. Just don't butcher it. Thx.

11-15-2003, 11:33 AM
The bombing of Japan saved more innocent lives than it killed... It would have been a slaughter if we went in with military force
but we are talking about the french here

GSLeloo
11-15-2003, 11:37 AM
That's why her comment was unnecessary.

Anyway, Paris was very pretty. The food was amazing, the culture was just very beautiful and easily drew you in. The architecture was just unbelievable and it was basically one of the most amazing things I had ever seen. Spain wasn't half as beautiful... but I did prefer England. Still, France had a magical feeling to it.

11-15-2003, 11:39 AM
Oh sure france would be great if it was not inhabited by the FRENCH

GSLeloo
11-15-2003, 11:44 AM
I admit, they weren't the nicest people. Still, it's what you pay for the culture.

Ilvane
11-15-2003, 11:48 AM
The french people are great. My mother was born there, in fact. They don't like American's much for good reason. I witnessed one American in a French store standing there saying very loudly, "I'm American, speak English!" Of course the man was able to speak English, but because the American was so rude, he was rude back to him..heh.

French children drink wine with a bit of water starting young. They have better tolerance for alcohol than we do, because they've been drinking wine a long time too.;) heh.

Americans are just as arrogant, really!

Just curious, Stray, do you like the band Phish?

11-15-2003, 01:34 PM
so tell me stray in the upstanding moral position you hold have you ever gone out to a pub and had a bit to much to drink and drive home?

sevas
11-15-2003, 01:47 PM
Going to war without France on your side is like going to war without your best washboard...

Edited to add out because its too early. Thanks Tijay.

11-15-2003, 01:55 PM
you mean without france?

Latrinsorm
11-15-2003, 02:30 PM
The guy suggesting that people should drink+drive more should have his ball sack cut open and filled with fire ants.

It's just a coincidence he's French.

And for the record, Spain pwns France in every way imaginable. The same can be said for Scotland in terms of French pwnage.

Americans have the right to be arrogant. We're the big bad booty-daddy of the world. What has France done to earn their arrogance (lately)? Zip. They can only bring up World War I so many times.

(edited to add "drive", otherwise I sound like a Pilgrim)

StrayRogue
11-15-2003, 07:47 PM
Nah, not that at all. Just not got the money and don't need to drive to where I need to get too. Its what legs are for. And whats this?? An American calling someone fat?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

GSLeloo
11-15-2003, 07:48 PM
I could be totally off on this.. but isn't it true that a lot of people in England don't have cars?

sevas
11-15-2003, 07:49 PM
Yes, that statement is correct. If you think gas is expensive here then try going there. I think its around 4x more expensive there.

StrayRogue
11-15-2003, 07:49 PM
Oh there is a lot of cars yes. But not as many as in America. We don't buy each of our kids cars etc. One or two cars per family on average. Depends on the area as well. To be totally truthful, our public transport system is excellent in the larger cities and is totally faster and less stressing than sitting in a jam for an hour trying to get home during rush hour.

Ok everyone take a deep breath...

First of all, not all Americans are fat. A lot? Yes, a lot. And sorry, it's unhealthy and they should diet because they truly are killing themselves.

English people are thinner? Well.. since America is the fattest country, that is true but not all English people. And unless you two want to pay for the airfare to have a race somewhere, no point in arguing about who could go further and longer and better.

I've been to Paris, I've watched the foreign films... I like the French. I think they have developed some sort of 'style-gene'.

Really, I didn't find them anymore rude than anyone in any big city. Like London, New York or Los Angeles.

Get down into Jeruselem, or Mount Carmel in Isreal, then I can show you some really decietfully rude people. Best way to deal with them is go right up thier face like they try to do to you. Just never accept a drink of coffee in the back room.

well here is the problem with englands health care system... If you have money YOU dont use it. Stray can attest to that privately run hospitals though more expensive are far superior to the socialist ones

P.S.....Brits CAN be president.....35 years of age and citizenship for a minimum of 7 years....I think that's the requirement set forth in the Constitution.

GSLeloo
11-16-2003, 03:13 PM
I think that's for like Senator and stuff but president you have to be a born citizen of the USA.

GuildRat
11-16-2003, 03:20 PM
Clause 5: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

OK...so a citizen(which one can apply for) and resident for 14 years...so a born Brit can be president.

GSLeloo
11-16-2003, 03:30 PM
No Person except a natural born Citizen,

But doesn't that say you have to be born here? Like say I was born here, moved to Austria for ten years, lived here for 14 and at 35 applied for presidency, that'd be ok?

Crazed Sylvan
11-16-2003, 03:33 PM
Native born means your parents were US citizens if you were born outside the US, or you were born in the US. The fourteen year thing is for if you were born outside the US, you have to have lived in the country at least 14 years.

Anyone who doesn't qualify for that can only be a naturalized citizen, and they don't qualify for President, but can be Congressmen, I think.
