Can it solo OTF?

Gan

Respec'ing my wspec to include bolts and utilizing my gambits, I could do some serious damage with that in OTF.

I'd just hate to be the one to lose it should it be disarmed.

+30 AS bonus when kneeling

Thanks,
Tsin

That's kinda of deceptive. All crossbows give that not just your bow.

There is no cocking RT, but do you still have to cock it? Or does it automatically cock? And you say it has a base 3 second firing time, yet show a 4 second RT in the log.

Also, its only dmg weighting, no permabless correct?

Price range is also good.

Yes it is permablessed and No it does not need to be cocked..

Gotcha, and I must just be blind - but is it a light crossbow or a heavy crossbow?

Whats the price range?

AestheticDeath
02-19-2007, 07:14 PM
Well I don't know. I guess I should have worded that more carefully, as in "giving us a price range would be helpful"

Otherwise I will offer 2 coins, and we can go from there

Tsin doesn't flat out state price ranges because then people won't offer inflated values hoping not to get rebuffed.

If I set a price range then I can't make fun of people who make really terrible offers.. Besides if you set a price on something you never know if you could have gotten more.

Heavy Crossbow.. Just had Sproink lighten it 3 times at his most recent visit to FWI.. Weighs 5 now

You got three services from one merchant in the same night? Thats not favoritism...

Or MA FTW!

Well not entirely.

With the new lightening policy, it's close to impossible to get things lightened 3 times. There is a calculator they are forced to use that was created by GM Warden. And it's per item, not per character.

Even if he did MA, Sproink would not be doing this three times.

Granted he could have had it altered 3 times over the course of time before the lightening policy was thrown into effect.

Not sure why anyone would waste time lightening a crossbow 3 times anyways...I realize at some level, every pound counts, but if you're using an xbow, you're probably not concerned with RT anyway. Obviously maneuvers are important, but going from 6 pounds to 3 pounds?

I guess if you have nothing better to alter...

Considering a heavy crossbow, for the most part, weighs 12-15 lb. (I used to own a heavy crossbow that weighed only 5, it was a rolaren banded one - pushed it to 6x and sold it) And a bundle of bolts (100) weighs close to 9 lb. Its a significant reduction have a non cocking rt crossbow that weighs that little and with no extra weight of the bolts... its a very attractive purchase for a serious archer.

Sproink should have just dyed that thing pink with fairies and returned it by cramming it into his pie hole. He just passed it around to all his lackies.

I agree that the 9 pound reduction from the bolts is useful, but it just seems wasteful to me to use 3 alters to lighten something 7 pounds (heavy xbows are 12 pounds from the shop). Like I said, I guess if you have nothing better to use your alters for...

But is it a pure killer?

I don't think we established that I want this crossbow. I've got a 6x exceptionally sighted boxfound heavy crossbow which I'd be willing to put up for trade.

I had 7 services done that night and actually ended up giving away 2 to friends cause I had nothing to do... Everything else I own was already altered and lightened as much as possible so 8 lbs off a 13 lb crossbow was worth it.

I didn't find the boxfound. It was sold to me as one, though.

I suppose it could of been auctioned off at some point, maybe, but I don't remember it.

I'd be extremely surprised if that really was a boxfound and it's probably worth more if it was from an auction anyway.. Has anyone even heard of anything worth over 10m found in the past couple years?

Shouldn't you know since you're a GM?

That the best you can do? I expected something more creative from someone who posts in every single thread solely attacking the item or the person.. With your 20 hate posts everyday you should be able to come up with something better that that.

What exactly is the point in attacking the credibility of another individuals statement, when you yourself have been called into question dozens of times on your outrageous claims?
