an enormous bloodstained mattock with a gore-covered troll femur haft

9.5x (+47) claid weighted mattock. Lightened to 4 lbs.

Scripts:

-Pull-
You pull your bloodstained mattock in close to your body and check it over for signs of battle wear.

-Gaze-
You heft your bloodstained mattock in your hand a few times, admiring its clean lines and excellent workmanship.

-Raise-
You heave your bloodstained mattock into the air and give a triumphant shout!

-Lean-
You shift your weight slightly in an abbreviated combat move and take a hearty swing with your bloodstained mattock.

-Push-
You hold your bloodstained mattock menacingly in front of you, its metal glinting in the light.

-Dust-
You carefully buff your bloodstained mattock, removing the debris of battle.

-Tap-
You tap the haft of your bloodstained mattock in the palm of your hand as you get a murderous glint in your eye.

-Wave-
Your bloodstained mattock whistles through the air as you bring it around in a sweeping arc.

Clench
As you tighten your grip, the familiar weight and balance of your bloodstained mattock lends you confidence.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a gore-covered troll-leg backsheath

In the troll-leg backsheath you see an enormous bloodstained mattock.

Backsheath Scripts:

-Rub-
You accidentally brush your hand against the slimy skin of your troll-leg backsheath. Hope you don't have to grip anything tightly soon!

-Tap-
You drum your fingers against the backsheath's outer skin, and the toes at the bottom of the troll's leg flutter against your back.

Getting Out:

You pull your bloodstained mattock out of its troll-leg backsheath accompanied by a wet squishy sound.

With a muffled *plop*, a dollop of blood and ichor comes out of your troll-leg backsheath as you draw your bloodstained mattock. The wet glob slides slowly down the side of the backsheath until it drops to the ground with a wet splat.

Your bloodstained mattock slides smoothly and silently out of the troll-leg backsheath. After your mattock is clear, the hole left in the troll-leg slowly closes, like a raw, red mouth.

Putting In:

A lump bulges the skin of the troll-leg backsheath outwards as you push your bloodstained mattock inside.

The first finger of your hand gets wet as your bloodstained mattock slides a little too smoothly into its backsheath. You wipe your reddened finger off on the skin of the backsheath, exchanging the blood for a greenish slime.

The troll leg kicks slightly for a moment as you force your bloodstained mattock inside.

Nice weapon, but thats some nasty scripts and whatnot. Again price would be nice.

Yeah, even a ballpark? I'd be interested if I could even fathom that it would be less than three times what I'm worth.

Traded the dag and some other stuff to get it back

I'm just glad I didn't have to pay current prices for all those premie points.. the last two enchants were insane.. 12,200 for the 8.5x and and 12,700 points for 9.5x.

Seems a lot of people think a nice two hander is a requirement of any trade offer towards the mattock.. I already have a pure coraesine flamberge that I rarely use so I really don't need another one.. If I wanted a second high end two hander I would just keep the mattock. I am open to any sort of trade items that might be offered.

AestheticDeath

Well I would assume almost anyone wanting this two handed weapon already uses two handers and spent alot of coin on the best they could find at the time.

Makes sense to get rid of the inferior weapon to help pay for something that would be this costly. Unless of course your one of the 'really really rich' people in Gemstone.

Plus now the people with the expensive two handers (who want this item) will devalue their own items and offer even more money to go along with them, so Tsin makes an even bigger profit when he turns around and resells.

As a young, aspiring businessman, I'm just curious why you'd sell the weapon, trade a bunch of stuff to get it back, and then re-sell it. Is there a monetary gain in this for you?

No, he's doing it to lose money ;)

Slark

Hah, of course I assumed he's making money, I just don't understand how. You trade this to someone for some items, then they trade it back to you for different items. Why not just make the initial trade for the latter set of items? Eh, whatever, I don't really care.

Yeah, I offered a nice weapon and a lot of silvers and Tsin wasn't having it.

He says he basically has an offer of 400 on it. So, yeah. Way outta my league.

bubbauno
02-21-2007, 02:51 PM
Yes but I don't want all silvers for it.. Looking for the majority to be trades and hoping to acquire some stuff that might not normally come up for sale..

Trade bait. Most of the nice items people wont let go of until they have a new toy to play with.

I sold the crystal ball for 500m before it was nerfed and I offered a billion for Enegue's blade but he won't sell it.. Some items are worth it.

"Some items" are lines of code in a text-based game made by a company that will probably be bankrupt in five years.

bubbauno
02-21-2007, 06:52 PM
Spirit Deaths critter/player as long as 1 HP damage is inflicted.. It can never be sold because it would definetely be nerfed if anyone tried to hunt with it.. Enegue doesn't ever leave Silvergate and probably hasn't used it in a decade so they haven't had a reason to nerf it.

So basically he refused an offer of $15,000 for

lines of code in a text-based game made by a company that will probably be bankrupt in five years.
that he will never be able to make use of anyway?

WHAT A FUCKING RETARD JESUS.

bubbauno

I'm sure if he really needed the money he could sell Silvergate Inn for a couple billion.

Artha

Is there anyone aside from maybe you and maybe Ardwen that even has a couple billion?

Danical
02-21-2007, 07:17 PM
dunno if anyone said it, but the fact that it's CRUSH only makes it better than claids from a crit-type perspective.

I highly doubt he has that much after his EG spending spree.

Invasion on Teras tonight with lots of umbral force sentries and soldiers..

You hit the soldier, but your mattock bounces off the creature's incredibly hard skin and falls to the floor!

That was a close one.

You can also find this blade in dark fantasy writing if you're familiar with Michael Moorecock and the Elric saga of the Eternal Champion series. The blade(s) in partcular were enruned twins named Stormbringer and Mournblade. And they drank the soul of whomever they wounded and thus transferred inhuman strength/power to the weilder as well as took on a life of their own. At one point, Elric wielded both simultaneously.

Its a really great story, and I'd have loved to have seen Engenue's blade in action back in the day.

I dont think they should nerf items like that, they should simply attune it to your account. So one asshole has a blade that can kill anything with 1 hp damage. So what? If he messes with any quest, or gets sold, take the blade away from him. Otherwise, let someone be godlike.

Light sabers were invented nearly 10,000 years before the battle of Yavin and therefore should be in genre.

I'm pretty sure there's at least one light saber in existence.
