Heh...well, at first I was going to refrain from airing this publicly, but after receiving this thought for a relatively light comment, I figured, screw it. Prepare for a long post.

[Private (Haashek - subdued)]: "warn harassment" (in response to my making fun of him on the amunet, two comments MAYBE. Hopefully he actually does retire).

I took the time to go to Darkstone and fog Haashek out of stone sentinels after he died. Never received a thank you or anything, he even complains that I left his boxes on the ground.

Anyway, here's the log, edited for unnecessary movement and such.
I didn't start logging till right after the fog, as that's when he started complaining and I thought some of my friends might get a kick out of it. Log starts after he bitches about leaving his boxes behind.

>You say, "You're safe now, not a time to be complaining."

A garden holds a natural spring of crystal clear water. Also a gate blocks the entrance to the monastery. You also see some woth flower, some manna bread, some torban leaf, a simple maoral chest with some stuff on it, some wolifrew lichen, some wolifrew lichen, some wolifrew lichen, a polished marble bench with some stuff on it, a large fel tree and a statue of a woman carrying a staff of crystal in her left hand and a set of crystalline keys in her right, facing the other of a young man kneeling, bedecked in battle-worn black chain armor.

>'Edaarin got shot in the neck by an exploding circle, it happens.
>shrug
You say, "Edaarin got shot in the neck by an exploding circle, it happens."
You shrug.
>'Nothing you can do about it.
You say, "Nothing you can do about it."
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "exactly why Im retiring "
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "it's pure BS"
You've learned enough to advance to your next level. Go visit one of the Inns in Elanthia and check in at the desk.
>Jaedn rubs Haashek.
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "casters have far the better defense than warriors "
>Guenhafyr whispers, "he has been unhappy for months...."
>'What's your point? We don't have redux.
You say, "What's your point? We don't have redux."
>'I die from scratches.
You say, "I die from scratches."
>Pyrno nods to you.
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "redux is way over rated"

>Guenhafyr says, "well, let us not quibble.... the poor fella is dead, which tends to get one upset"
>Guenhafyr asks, "want to get up, Haashek?"
>Guenhafyr says, "ye will need a bit of healing of course"
>Guenhafyr says, "hmmm"
>Haashek just left.
>Jaedn's right hand looks better.
>shak hea
>You shake your head.
>Haashek just arrived.
>Pasev asks, "er, so Haashek didn't want to be raised?"
Darra says, "He here now"
>Guenhafyr says, "dunno....."
>Darra says, "Raise em"
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "ok sure now make fun & gossip about me"
>Darra rubs Haashek.
>Pasev rubs Haashek.
>Darra says, "Someone raise em."
>Guenhafyr says, "we do no such thing"
>Guenhafyr says, "he bleeding"
>Jaedn warmly asks, "Want me to heal yeh up Haashek?"
>Pasev says, "yer body got lost for a minute"
>Guenhafyr says, "canna tend that chest wound"
>Darra asks, "Youch ya got nailed haashek. What got ya one of them shimmering circles?"
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "please so I can die again hell I have every dam spell & in defense yet I die not from stoning but from a critter younger than me casting.. that is so screwed up"
>whisper darra don't get him started...please...
You quietly whisper to Darra, "don't get him started...please..."
>Jorddyn asks, "Might there be someone I could bother for blues?"
>Jaedn meditates over Haashek.
Jaedn takes Haashek's neck damage.
>Guenhafyr says, "Haashek, Sents still kill me...."
>Jaedn meditates over Haashek.
Jaedn takes Haashek's left arm damage.
>You peer quizzically at Jorddyn.
>Jaedn meditates over Haashek.
Jaedn takes Haashek's right leg damage.
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek ask, "from casting?"
>Guenhafyr says, "they just bad news"
>Jaedn meditates over Haashek.
Jaedn takes Haashek's back damage.
>Jaedn meditates over Haashek.
Jaedn takes Haashek's head damage.
>Bweler takes a drink from his rich dwarven ale.
>Guenhafyr says, "from stones"
>Nicodeme just arrived.
>Jaedn meditates over Haashek.
Jaedn takes some of Haashek's blood loss.
>Darra says, "Me too thats why I hardly ever go down there. From stones. Same for Illokes."
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "Im talking about them casting a spell "
>Nicodeme says, "Yeah, life can be rough..."
>Jaedn meditates over Haashek.

Nicodeme says, "Hey baby.."
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "shut up ass"
>Nicodeme winks at Jorddyn.
>Guenhafyr raises a hand while murmuring a soft orison...
>frown haash
>You frown at Haashek.
>Darra frowns.
>Guenhafyr gestures at Haashek.
A silvery translucent thread extends from Guenhafyr encompassing Haashek's corpse.
>'No call to be uncivil.
>You say, "No call to be uncivil."
>Jaedn meditates over Haashek.
Jaedn takes some of Haashek's blood loss.
>Bweler stretches.
>You hear the ghostly voice of Haashek say, "and no call to be cynical either"
>Nicodeme says, "Shut up ass.. For you, that's a rather clever comeback."
>Nicodeme nods to Haashek.
Guenhafyr raises a hand while murmuring a soft orison...
>Guenhafyr gestures at Haashek.
Guenhafyr suddenly looks very drained.

A bolt of soft white light streaks down from the sky bathing Haashek in it.
>
A brilliant glow forms around Haashek, lingers for a moment, and finally fades. Haashek awakens looking somewhat confused and seriously drained.
Haashek's body suddenly grows darker.
>Darra says, "nicodeme knock it off."
>Bweler exclaims, "Thats what I said!"
Jaedn meditates over Haashek.
Jaedn takes all of Haashek's blood loss.
>Bweler whistles tunelessly to himself.
>Nicodeme raises an eyebrow in Darra's direction.
>Nicodeme asks, "PArdon me?"
>Pasev offers Haashek a ruby amulet.
>Darra says, "Yep yer pardoned this time."
>Jorddyn says, "I'll be in vruul should I croak."
You see Pasev the Bardess.
She appears to be a Human.
She appears to be very young and taller than average. She has bright jade green eyes and golden brown skin. She has chin length, straight golden brown hair with lighter streaks. She has a heart-shaped face, a freckled nose and deep laugh lines.
She has old battle scars on her left leg.
She is holding a coral and pink dreamstone medallion in her right hand and a ruby amulet in her left hand.
She is wearing a reinforced eog shield, a double heart opal ring, an elegant white sunstone talisman, a belt pouch, a leather sheath, a heavy backpack, a crystal amulet, some double leather, and a maernstrike diamond wristlet.
>Darra grins.
>Nicodeme smirks.

>Quaroath went through a large steel gate.

Guenhafyr sighs.
>Haashek accepts Pasev's ruby amulet.
Nicodeme says, "You're lucky I like you.."
>Pasev offers Haashek a coral and pink dreamstone medallion.

Haashek slings a blood red shield off from over his shoulder.
Guenhafyr gestures at Haashek.
A light blue glow surrounds Haashek.

Haashek suddenly looks more powerful.
>Jaedn licks a brilliant fire opal medallion.
>Haashek says, "go ahead & laugh lil puke"
>Nicodeme says, "I wish you would. I'd enjoy being the cause of your banishment."
>Haashek says, "it WILL happen"
>Haashek says, "I dont think so"
>Nicodeme says, "I'd help you pack."
>Nicodeme winks at Haashek.
>Darra says, "Goo grief."
>'This is hardly the place for this.
Fylana asks, "would anyone be able to bless my weapon please?"
Guenhafyr gazes up into the heavens.
You say, "This is hardly the place for this."
Guenhafyr mutters testosterone.
>Nicodeme waves a hand at Haashek, dismissing him indifferently.
>Darra says, "Blessing for Fylana! Pass that weapon"
>Fylana offers Darra a heavy glacier pick.
Nicodeme says, "Well, we'll all miss you."
>Nicodeme smirks.
>Haashek says, "thanks Guen"
>Darra says, "Ahhh ok they got it."
>Fylana says, "thank you"
Guenhafyr says, "welcome Haas"
>Guenhafyr gestures at Fylana.
A brilliant shower of sparks bursts from Fylana's glacier pick, but it quickly returns to normal.
>You see a white blur form near you, which quickly fades into Citan's group.
'Beat you.
>You say, "Beat you."
>nudg guen
You elbow Guenhafyr in the ribs in a playful sort of way.
>Haashek says, "Jaedn thanks for healin me.. "
>Nicodeme says, "We'll have to find another incredibly insecure child to constantly announce their accomplishments to anyone who'll listen.."
>Guenhafyr bites you! Of all the nerve!
>Nicodeme starts chortling.
>Haashek hauls off and slaps Nicodeme up'side his head!
>Haashek says, "that's enough"
Nicodeme chuckles.
>Nicodeme says, "Is it now..."
>Nicodeme smirks.
Nicodeme says, "You're not very intimidating, son.."
>Nicodeme leans softly against Haashek.
>Jaedn warmly says, "Just hope ye feel better"
>Guenhafyr gestures while calling upon the lesser spirits for aid...
>Jaedn smiles at Haashek.
>Guenhafyr gestures into the air.
Guenhafyr momentarily gets a faroff look in her eyes, and then returns to normal.
>Pasev begins a musical chant...
>Guenhafyr traces a sign while petitioning the spirits for cognition...
>Guenhafyr gestures into the air.
A silvery fog coalesces around Guenhafyr, obscuring her form. When the fog dissipates, Guenhafyr is gone.
>Great Lord Haashek went through a large steel gate.
>Nicodeme chuckles.
>Pasev removes a pink spinel from in her heavy backpack.

So there you have it. Seriously bud, hurry up and retire. Or lighten up. I'll admit I'm a little biased, because I think Legend Boom Boom is the most retarded nick name I've ever heard, especially for someone who whines so damn much.

Some people don't know how to hunt. Honestly, the guy wears every spell and still died from Phantasma's. I'm sorry, a warrior dying in phants with every spell, either didn't train right, or has no concept of playing a warrior, which it is in this case.

Haashek just plain sucks as a character. He would offer 5k for a full spirit spellup including 4 hours of WOF, get every single elemental spell + mobility and STILL get his ass kicked in sents. Mind you, he's about 9 levels above them. Oh yeah, I did a gld rank command on him the other day.. and he has like 20 ranks alltogether, and he was working on tricks when I saw him.

He expects just to go stance offense and swing swing swing at anything and it dies and he gets coins. He's a dumbass, plain and simple.

Yeah, good point. Personally, if I didnt master warcries and have 20 tackle ranks, especially warcries, I would be dead in no time. Warcries is my lifeline really. That and my shield, I use my shield to reflect bolts. I hunt figs. I dont use strength much anymore either. Just smiting, striking, sword, deflection, dissipation, defending, and warding.

Have my claidh in my right hand, shield in my left hand before I go into the danger. Once I head in, I warcry them, and blast 'em.

Just have to use yer witts.

Coming from you who NEEDED spells to hunt, I wouldn't reply to the post.

First off, you don't need guild either at that level. Just pick your fights, one at a time, stance dance. I got a little warrior that runs around in sents and he gets hit all the time, but that wonderful thing redux keeps him alive easy. Haashek doesn't even hunt sents, he hunts banshee's which are just about the easiest thing in the game to hunt at that level. 240 DS, a claw that AT MOST should do 15 damage total to a warrior at that train with a banshee's AS. I'm sorry but when you have such easy things as banshee's in an area, you got to toss in "the equalizer." If I ever hunted an area and had 0 chance to die, I would be bored out of my mind. Haashek wore brig until like 52 trains, he is a complete moron when it comes to warriors and has no idea how to play one. He probably has crappy redux due to not training in armor fully among other things. When you train like a idiot, you deserve to be smacked around, especially when you run around in offensive and don't stance dance....

Haashek also wears brigandine 'because it costs too much to get better armor'. The warrior forum where he said that ranks up there for me as one of the funniest GS moments ever. I could almost feel Stealth's embarrassment when he was replying to his questions.

There are very few people in GS I have a true disliking for, but Haashek is just so annoying in every way imaginable.

that's what he said, it was no secret he was retiring. sadly, i'm fairly sure he's bullshitting, as i heard he was planning on moving to EN, where he will bitch that people aren't as free with spells as he had thought. unfortunately i'm heading there in a few days myself, hopefully he'll change his mind.

It's kind of funny.. I actually thought he was a sorcerer. Maybe it was his constant begging for spells.

I am never more amused by characters that consider themselves 'legends' when no one else does.

>>>>while i'm typing search sentinel, a fresh new one come, i touch it, i freeze, and it kills me<<<<

One simple attack macro/script that will increase your chance of living by a lot.

attack second sentinel\r attack first sentinel\r

This makes it so if fighting one sent, you still swing at it and then if another walks in, you target the second one that you were previously fighting. This is a must for areas that swarm a lot but helps even more in areas such as sents where you freeze by touching them and such.

Yeah, what a moron. Regular hauberk is better than FGB (except manuever attacks due to padding) if he's so worried about the price. Heck, just go grab some even NEGATIVE enchant plate and it's way better than FGB. Save yourself a good 7-8 million coins or whatever ungodly, ridiculous amount it's going for these days.

Once, when I used to hunt Anwyn, he used symbol of need and he was lying down. He yelled at me for not finding him and helping him. He never died! I didn't even know the guy. What was I supposed to do? Oh no! He's lying down! Anyway, my one and only memorable occurrence and the sad thing is I still remember him for it.

A small, shaded park fills an old vacant lot behind a row of buildings, the bright lamplight from the square filtering through the passage to the north to illuminate the area with a soft glow. A weatherworn grey marble statue of a stocky human in pioneer's clothing overlooks the park, his stone hat encrusted by the gifts of decades of passing birds and his right hand half-upraised as if it once held some now-missing object. You also see the Haashek disk, a heavy quartz orb, a heavy quartz orb, a keg of ale, some basal moss, some ambrominas leaf, some basal moss, a handaxe, a wooden shield, a bundle of heavy crossbow shafts, a wooden shield and a rose-marrow potion.

He didn't. His old wife, Maeghlin, I guess "adopted" him a few years back. I have heard Was call him an idiot, as I have known him for a long time and recently jabbed at him about being related to Haashek. So in other words, Was really could care less, and he was adopted by his now left the lands ex-in-game wife.

I find no redeeming qualities in the character of Haashek. And because he is OOC most of the time, that goes double for the player. He obviously has very few social skills.

I just know I'm going to get laughed at for this, heck I already do.

Three years ago Haashek was the first older character to ever take the time to show me anything. New to the game as I was then I thought it was great and when he offered to "adopt" me I figured sure sounds like a good thing. So yeah in the game Haashek is Anticor's surrogate dad I guess. Basically what I've come to learn is this. His heart's in the right place but he's not the quickest person around, he gets very passionate and closed minded about issues he feels strongly about. He doesn't see the other side of the story easily and he doesn't take critiques very well but like I said I think his hearts in the right place.

I agree with most of you he doesn't know what it means to be a warrior he knows how to do it in the manner he's always done it. Will I disown him? Not til given a good enough reason in the game like I said he was the first one to show me true kindness by showing me alot of things about the game and alot of the "family" did the same.

Before you get a chance to reply.....

I really don't know Haashek in the game with any of my characters; mostly I know what an idiot he can be, and I try to avoid getting involved in any of the crap that he gets himself into.

I just will never forget one night on the amulet, he tried so very hard to get into a battle of wits with one of my wittier characters, and it was simply pitiful.

He was begging for spells on the black channel, as he usually is, and was offering something like 5k for 4 hours of WoF.

Now, you know, this particular character of mine is not young by any means, and it takes a considerable amount of effort (and mana) for her to get four hours of WoF. So I mentioned to him that perhaps he might get more takers if he were to offer a bit more incentive.

You'd think I insulted his mother, the way he jumped down my throat immediately. I mean, my character can be very rude, but had not made her comment with any sort of emotion. It was just.. well.. a statement of fact. I still think 5k for 4 hours of WoF is cheap as hell.

I enjoyed picking him apart in the ensuing argument. What can I say, I have an evil streak, and it was so fun watching him make an ass of himself. Just him against me, with the net audience laughing.

I should maybe feel a little bad about it, the whole verbal spar was like a black belt wiping the floor with a white belt.

And...what accomplishments? 'Adopting' 3000 children? Having a 'father' that hates your damn guts? Singlehandedly alienating half of the people in Wehnimer's with repeated warning/whining/bitching? Giving warriors a bad name in general? I'm sure Stealth will be happy to see him leave.

For those who are still curious, or care, or are bored enough to read this post...

Ylandra was adopted by Opheleeah probably years ago. Haashek was part of the deal. Now, the thing is, at that time Haashek was a very nice person... outspoken, but nice.

As the years passed, he became more outspoken, and somewhat bitter, to the point of constant whining. Even in IMs, I (and I'm sure others) heard about this person, or that person, who is an idiot because they said this, that, or the other.

More recently, Haashek discovered the warn verb, and has begun warning everyone who even remotely disagreed with him. It reached the point that I, as a player, was ready to hunt him down RL and slap the silly out of him. Twice.

Since I could not stand his player, as a player, and Ylandra had already expressed her displeasure over his antics, and his constant threats of leaving, she decided to end it on her own.

So, to sum it up, the abusive warning, the whining for spells, and the general stupid kissiness on the thought nets and around town in game, are the reasons Ylandra disowned Haashek.

Why did Ylandra even get adopted? Her player was having a very tough time, and thought that having a family would give her someone to talk to and care about. She was wrong, and has learned the hardway.

See the Drizz thread, which Hashek has hijacked. Haashek is back, and someone said on Teras.

Acolyte Kurili, just reporting the news

First of all, StrayRogue.. I DEMAND your signature line be changed as it a lie, a fabrication and libel.

Second of all... Haashek is a jackass.

Ihozuo deeply asks, "Either you two a Warrior by chance?"
[Hearthstone, Courtyard]
Before you stands a grand old manor, framed by huge willows to the east and west. The elegant trees sway gently in the moonlight, dappling the cobblestone courtyard with ever-shifting patterns of light and dark. Snippets of conversation drift away from the long porch stretching along the full width of the great old house, as several guests enjoy the hospitality and ambience of this fine hideaway. You also see a small apple, a hollow tree stump and the porch steps.
Also here: Ihozuo, Tijay
Obvious paths: south
You see Ihozuo.
He appears to be a Giantman of the Grishknel Clan.
He appears to be very young and very tall. He has deep-set steel grey eyes and copper skin. He has shoulder length, thick steel grey hair streaked with silver. He has a square-jawed face, a hooked nose and a long beard.
He has minor cuts and bruises on his chest.
He is holding an ivory hilted silvery sword in his right hand and an opal-inlaid white glaes kaskara in his left hand.
He is wearing a gold ring, an imflass-edged sheath, some sleek black stalking leathers, a black wolf hide belt, an onyx-inlaid black leather thigh-sheath, a wrist sheath, an ora-buckled indigo leather baldric, a hooded black silk stalking cloak, some ogre tooth-buckled boots, a topaz and copper wire bracelet, an onyx sword cloak clasp, a butterfly charm, a sturdy dark leather gem pouch, a whorled azure blazestar necklace, a tree bark amulet, a burnished silver stickpin, a grey brocade sack, a wiregrass anklet, an enruned copper ring, a glittering bronze earcuff, and a dreamstone inset pewter torc.
You show Ihozuo your black pin.
Etched onto the pin are the words, "Guildmaster Edaarin of the Rogue Guild, Master of Sweep, Master of Subdue, Master of Cheap Shot, Master of Rogue Gambits."
>
Ihozuo nods.
>
Ihozuo whistles tunelessly to himself.
You see Tijay detgh.
He appears to be a Giantman.
He appears to be ancient. He has grey eyes and tanned skin. He has short, black hair.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a fel-hafted rolaren toporok in his right hand and a cross crested steel shield in his left hand.
He is wearing an antique eonake-plated chain, an opaque glass amulet, a wide gold ring, some inky black trousers, an inky black pack, a crystal amulet, a small leather sack clutched with a withered elf hand, some smoky grey leathers, and a small rose.
>
You feel at full magical power again.
>
Tijay shakes his head.
>
>'I only know of one warrior that would wear leathers at his train
You say, "I only know of one warrior that would wear leathers at his train"
You point at Tijay.
>You chuckle.
>
Tijay laughs!
>
Tijay says, "dont compare me to him again or i might have another slaying tonight"

Haashek is back for sure. His babble is all over the net in the landing.

Here is a wonderful example

You hear the subdued thoughts of Haashek echo in your mind:
"Ahh there is Soul-pathetic I smelled you miles away.. stickpot of Elanthia"

Poor Haashek hasnt yet figured out that in a battle of wits, he is unarmed.

I was loving the foolishness he was spouting, and the ready replies of those who demonstrated his lack of armed readiness.

I stopped after awhile because it was like picking a fight with a handicapped person.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Haashek [subdued]: "Love yas sis Muah"
You [subdued]: "Selling hunting tips."
You [subdued]: "You might want to bid on this one, for you it'll be a wizard and spirit spellup."
Haashek [subdued]: "Hey sis.. I thought I heard Mr Ed on here"
You [subdued]: "You're thinking now? That's quite a change."

Necoley [subdued]: "find a warrior"
Haashek [subdued]: "You rang?"
You [subdued]: "She said warrior"
Haashek [subdued]: "Well Mr Ed I think you dont qualify"
You [subdued]: "Obviously not, I'm a rogue. And if you can't come up with anything more than Mr. Ed, the only warrior-like part about you is the complete lack of wit."

Not only is Mr. Ed not funny, it's blatantly OOC.

Edaarin I'll kill you for laughing too hard

Good times.

holy 6 year thread bump batman....

Haashek and his brigandine. I remember him at Stealth's warrior forum talking about how he was getting his ass handed to him in kings because of his brigandine. Understand this was back when redux was insane (pre-nerf) and a 400 end roll from a falchion on mildly damage padded plate meant 1 point of damage for a warrior over 60 trains. I think Haashek forgot to train armor up till level 40 and did not want to tell anyone.
