...mean Quoted for Truth?

I mean, for years that's been Quit fucking talking/trolling.

Just curious I guess, seeing it's fucking said everywhere now.

Looks like it can be both, although if you're using it for Quit Fucking Talking, you should add more insult afterwards to not confuse with Quoted for Truth. :D

See and all this time if I saw it after a quote it meant "Quite Fucking True" heh.

I agree with CT here, if you're using it as insulting you'll likely add more insults.

quoted for truth usually is just the quote and QFT. I guess context is key.

I've never heard it as Quit Fuckin' Talking, but I think you could differentiate if you use context. I'd expect that definition to have some more colorful turns of phrase.

STFU much more effective than Quit Fucking' Talking.

Well, QFT has been used as trolling on many other forums I've seen, and was popular back with Quake 2. And I see it being used a lot again, so I was just wondering when the meaning changed, because back in 1997, it never meant Quoted for Truth.

I've never had the problem where people weren't sure if I was praising them or insulting them.

Some call it a gift.

I think most everyone on this board uses it as quoted for truth.

Personally I saw it start getting widespread use when WoW came out.

Now if we can end the widespread use of "It is what it is."

I hate it when I see alot of the abbreviations. Mostly cause I don't like trying to figure out what it means. Lazy people.

I wouldn't call it lazy, I'd call it carpal tunnel avoidance

If you have firefox, you can usually type

dict <abbreviation>

into your address bar. Who's lazy now?
