How is this suppose to work? I ran it from Malwith and gave one ale to the guard
ran around town trying to give it to other guards and it said they still have the one I gave them before or some sort of message like that, then it ran back to the inn and sat down at "clear" headed

works pretty much like a charm, i did have to, once, take an ale off the bar because it didn't pick it up, as soon as I did that though, it kicked right in. Worked twice, with that being the only issue...nicely done.

The ale worked fine, but I will say it was boring as hell...

Iron smelting is in the landing, and if you don't script it it's actually a lot of fun (other than that part where you just wait on the kiln). I've never done the beer delivery, but it doesn't really seem like that would be any more fun than delivering messages (which is boring) even when not scripted.

Edit to add: if you're looking to do it, go to the blacksmith north of the cul-de-sac (and a little west) and he'll get you on your way.

This is one of the things that really can suck about gemstone, at lot of the times (tedium) in order to advance you just have to do something so mindless and repeatitive. I would like it a lot more if you have to do something semi-exciting (like bounty type kills) that had rare-drops of a forging component, and then the likelyhood of a skillup/better forged item would be much higher.

Having never done this to level, I am wondering if this exp you earn goes straight to earned exp, or if it fills up your mind and then you have to unfry?

Fills up your mind, so you need to rest in between. The script will put you at a table, and in rest mode until sufficient experience has been gained, then head back out and do it over again. Check your container after each run though, and drink the 1 ale, or else you'll end up with a lot of extra.

I don't think so. Vaalor has tasks like these for many of the NPCs around town; this is just the easiest. I also know of that the armorer and weaponsmith will accept those pieces of iron that mobs drop sometimes, one of the jewelers will accept scratched and dented jewelry drops, and one of the merchants takes wood. There are a bunch of them, but basically its a more fleshed out version of running messages.

The following version works in conjunction with Psinet's Atlas feature (kick ass!) to make moving a lot easier, and the Baggage feature to keep track of your inventory. The script does everything, including buying water, except going to the bank. Just start off with enough silver to buy a lot of water and you are good to go. It also does head checks in between water delivery as to maximize your time and effort.

Begin script at a table (goto 6305). Script is hard-coded for a Pack to store water in.
