I still am running my current business, but it has a finite life of things going this well.. then work will slow way down. So today, I've decided to do the same thing, in a different part of the state.

Due to some ownership issues, I've decided to start a brand new corporation and have a web presence.

So I go to godaddy.com and register my domain site. What exactly do I need to have now? I would like email with the domain site, as well as a host... but I went from $8 to $205 with all the add ons! They made it so easy to just add this service and that feature.... the bastards!

Is there another site, now that I have my domain.. that can give me hosting and email at a reasonable rate?

What add ons got ya?

I'm using them and it's only $50 a year with a few add-ons...

Godaddy.com is by far the cheapest for the bandwidth they offer. I will say, their email sucks ass. But their customer service is top notch.

Anyways, what all do you need to host and what kinda bandwidth you plan on using a month?

I use Mecca Hosting (http://www.meccahosting.com/us/). They give you great rates on one years worth of hosting and email plus they can buy your domain name for you.

When you buy a domain from one place, its less hassle to let that place host it.

If they are charging you $200 it sounds like they are going to host your site and your email.

I've used http://www.networksolutions.com/home.jsp?layoutIdIndex=0 and been very happy with it.

I used http://www.bluehost.com/ a few years ago. Though Sean2's recommendation is also a great company. You blogging ol' man? ;)

Yea... not likely.

The more I think about it though, I'll need to hire someone to set up my website since I want it to be one that the customers can actually sign up for the service.

You're a dork. I currently use bluehost and they host websites, have email accounts and help you create domains, all from the same place. Not one complaint.
