I am curious as to how many of you would be willing to buy parts, equipment, supplies, and even pools from eBay. I am even curious if any of you have already done so.

Odd question.
That being said I'd consider buying pool care items for my pool. I would consider buying anything from ebay.

I wouldn't buy a pool from e-bay, but I might buy pool care things.
probably not though, I'd just go to the local store

What a weird ass business.
I'm with Skeet though. Were I to buy pool supplies, eBay would not be the first place I looked. Leslie Pools down the street would be.

There is the issue of timeliness but with even a small amount of advance planning things can be ordered online for a greatly reduced price much of the time, so why not pool supplies?

I am rather with the lot of you. I had never considered purchasing pool supplies online ... at least not until I received a position with a local company as their E-Commerce Manager. We have items on eBay, and we are branching out to Yahoo, Amazon, CraigsList, and completing our own site.
I do want to add that, from my research on the subject, the price via our own eBay store and others, the prices are alot lower on the internet compared to buying from in the store. There is roughly a 25% to 50% difference in the two.
