I am currently completing the hardback collection of the Tom Clancy: Ryan (fiction) series novels and found one of the ones I was looking for on the clearance shelf (hardback in great condition) for $1.00. AND, I found a pristine copy of The Hunt for Red October on the regular shelf for $6.00. Every other copy I've seen of this first book by Clancy has looked as if it has been through several rounds in a washing machine. This automatically made the day an excellent day, inspite of the cold and rain.
So far I've amassed over half of the collection in hardback off the clearance shelf. A third of the remainder I've received new as gifts (hardbacks). And 17% remaining I'm still on the hunt for.
The only fiction works I've not gotten into by Clancy has been his Op-For novels.
I'm a fan of the Ryan/Clark storyline.
