I'm saying it's a cheap flash version of a custom game called TD or "Tower Defence" that is hugely popular on Warcraft 3. The game has even stolen the War3 icons and graphics.

What tactics are the best? I have been placing arrow towers at the foot of every stretch, bomb towers on the corners, and putting air and extra bomb towers on the center patch.

3 fully upgraded cannon towers will take you pretty far into the game.

You can get through the beginning however you want. I did water first and placed one near the 2nd turn and the other in the middle to slow people down. Then get fire and upgrade all the way to do lots of damage. As soon as you can start getting the uber towers, get them and upgrade/add as you see fit. Sell everything except the water towers as soon as you can.

Mine:

1 canon first level, slowly build up to 4 canons with one upgrade each by the 7th lvl. On the 8th sell a canon, research fire, make two fire towers. Run with that until the end of 10th, saving gold. Add another fire on 11, another on 12. Then continue with that until 15/17. At 18th lvl, start adding 1 fire per lvl or less. Whatever you can get away with. Around lvl 25ish I think it was? You have to start adding more, or upgrading them. Dont do any more than you have to, and dont buy anything but fire. Spend the wood on % increase stuff.

Always spend your first wood on fire, if you "just want to win" then go water and boulder and dump everything into rockets (pretty much spending every penny as it comes).

If you want to have money to spare, you can get to level 7 with just 3 cannons, at level 7 sell them all and spend it on a single fire, slowly buy more/upgrade (never get the fourth upgrade to 400 dmg, stay at 300 dmg), barely get by. after fire only buy interest, and don't worry about letting a boss take a life (or two).

The last level, be sure to start selling everything once it nears the end... I had one tower left when I beat it...

That is key, I've been playing this since the day he released it. I found it via Stumble! -- Fire all the way is for sure the best strategy. However, you get the most points doing something else ;)

I just changed my strategy... I'm now ranked number 39. No upgrades at all, cannons all the way. I'm calling it quits on that note

I'm coupling water cannons with a bevvy of level 2 fire cannons and have the upper niche cascading with level 3 cannons.

FACK: I could blow level 39 out of the water if I can find out how to kill the third boss using coin + water + fire + coin.

I'm trying to find a flash player that will currently zoom and allow multiple overlaps on the same square without having to overlap anything by even half a "unit."

If I can muster it, I'll record level 39 with what looks like one space occupied by fire towers, although I think each ginormous fucking pause will be a couple hours long.

By the way.. I was looking for a screen recorder and the one I tried wound up making a small video of this 1-2 minute session. It was freaking huge... How do I make smaller videos?

Try using nine fire towers at the top, 12 grouped in the center, and 5 by 3 grouping going up the right side. Upgrade them to level 2, with a spattering of level 3s if you like.

I've beat it twice. Once I hit 7. Fire towers only. Next two wood spend only on interest and letting the coins build. Once I had about 8k in gold I upgraded a few of the fire ones. And around level 35 built a MASS of rockets fully upgrade. In level 39 nothing even made it past the 4rd corner. It was pretty hot.

Yeah, except i didn't cheat. I used air towers on air levels and then immediatly sold them. You can do it all with cannon towers, you just need a shitload. You'll have to get used to losing a few lives (I never had more than 1 life somewhere between 30 and 37... then I had enough money to secure myself a bit more). 35% interest and cutting as close as you can every level so you can gain the most interest. A couple of the boss levels normal arrow towers can be useful, but sell them immediatly afterwards. The left side is the best place to place your cannons to start, because the arc of how much land you can shoot at doesn't matter, because eventualy all your cannons are firing at the last guys leaving... but then when the come back around again you get a second round of shots.

Oh, and notice how you're not on the high score board? yeah I was. (was because it seems to clear every five hours, aww). A key to placing your guys is to use tab to get the cursor over your spot, and then hit space to place it, that way you can stack efficiently.
